I looked it up and I think he grew up in a part of Corona that was not Lefrak, but he did live there for a period of time. :psalute:

I was doing a pop up shop last summer at a random Bar/lounge and she had gig right after. walked in mad regular and down to earth. i woulda thought she was just doing a store run. Southside, Hollis, St. Albans, Springfield Hardens, are towns that surround what’s considered Jamaica proper.

But sometimes people use Jamaica as a blanket term for all of them. Most likely cause of Jamaica Ave. EDIT: ....which is the cultural center of the entire area. All the shop, buses and trains are located along here so people from those surrounding towns convene there and it technically becomes an extension of their own town in a way.

The Colosseum Mall off 165th st and Jamaica Ave was a hangout spot for a lot of the rappers mentioned in this post.

South Jamaica Queens and Jamaica Queens are 2 neighborhoods that are literally right next to each to each other. There's alot of overlap, but they are distinct but still the same area


Similar to Flatbush Brooklyn, and East Flatbush Brooklyn. I'm from Brooklyn so I could tell the difference from East Flatbush and Flatbush by eyesight


Put it this way. Jamaica Queens is the area where people know about more. People from all over NY come through there if they are coming to Queens. Where the J train is, LIRR railroad, York Cuny college etc etc

South Jamaica Queens is more residential, and more known in the Hip Hop world cause the legends are from there
