Look we all know art and entertainment is subjective so there's no real science to this shyt. We all got different tastes and we all got different buttons to push when it comes to what satisfies us and what doesn't. One man's trash is another man's treasure yada yada yada and all that bullshyt. So no getting pissy over anyone else's opinion you disgusting coli slime. :scusthov:

Amazing Spiderman 2 - 53%

The promotional material looked all kinds of awful and my expectations were as low as can be but this movie really won me over. Not a fan of the subplot involving Peter's parents and you probably could have cut a good 20-30 minutes from the final run time but all in all I had loads of fun watching this and I felt it captured Spidey better than any movie before it. :salute:Don't know why so many people had a bad time with this.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past - 92%

Some are even championing it as one of the best comic book movies of all time. :mindblown: Can't even tell you how bored I was during this brehs. This shyt was just all over the place and the main plot was so stupid I just couldn't get sucked in. 30 minutes in and I couldn't wait for it to be over. Only person who looked more bored than me was Jennifer Lawrence.

King Kong (2005) - 84%

:what:If you're gonna remake a timeless classic why would you set in the time same exact time period as the original instead of telling a more modern story?? Why make the EXACT same movie?? This shyt was the most boring filth ever put to film. shyt is like a solid 2 hours too long. Bad performances (Jack Black :mjlol:), bad CGI dinosaurs... plus quite possibly the most laughable romance in history. This bytch takes King Kong iceskating :what:. You would think from the way they were lookin at each other they were about to fukk.:heh:. Can't believe there were so many simps out there that enjoyed this ridiculousness. You know they asses had to be lyin :camby:.

Forrest Gump - 72%

So emotional:ohlawd: , so epic :ohlawd:, so inspirational :ohlawd:. Tom Hanks with the performance of a lifetime. :wow:I feel so poorly for the stooges that couldn't find joy in this stunning masterpiece :ohlawd:

Mortal Kombat: Annihilation - 6%

No this movie really is that bad but the reason I find the score puzzling is because it actually received one positive review. His name is John Niccum and according to him this movie was "a guilty pleasure more entertaining than the original".

:russ:He actually considered the movie a "pleasure".

The look on this dude's face when he saw he was the only critic this side of the cosmos that gave the movie a positive review:mjlol:.
:mindblown: at you hating on the new x men movie but liking spider man.. The fukk is wrong with you? And why are y'all letting this slide? Sometimes I wonder why I even come here... But people like RT and you are the reason I don't even ask people what they thought about a movie until after I saw it

Nah breh. We're citing egregious ratings on here for laughs, but generally, their ratings give you a good idea if the movie is good or bad.

Put it this way, I'd rather use RT because it's an average of a compilation of ratings from scores of critics. It ain't perfect as we all have cited on this thread, but it's better than any other rating site out there.

Rotten Tomatoes is a great tool for choosing what movies to go see. It helps you weed out the bad movies you'd waste time and money on. We may all disagree with some ratings here and there ( Fight Club only got 80%), but it's usually pointed me toward good movies I wouldn't have seen otherwise and kept me away from bad ones. I thought End of Watch would be terrible til I saw it had a positive score. It ended up being :win::russ: and :to: all in one.

AND it's a great way to keep a girl from forcing you into seeing some terrible chick flick. That 70% rule will save your life…

Gravity - 97%

It just didn't click with me at all. I saw it on DVD, and I remember people in the Gravity thread saying it's a better experience in theaters, but I wasn't feeling the plot or the acting so I doubt it would have a made a difference for me.

Forrest: "Jenny, why don't you love me?" Jenny: "because you have a head full of stupid!!" Forrest: "OK"

I feel that and I respect critics but I'd much rather just go find out for my damn self. That's all I'm saying. It's one thing to read a critic review (which I normally don't do till after the movie) but it's another to let that critic think for you. We're saying these scores are egregious but based on what? Our opinions. Like someone mentioned Space Jam and yeah for nostalgia purposes it works but as a movie? It's awful lol but that's my opinion and film is subjective. So one critic's opinion or even several of them won't change my opinion on The Sandlot or any movie I like

Grandma's Boy: The Thread

It got an 18% from critics but 86% from the audience. That's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen.

one of the GOAT comedies (along with "The Other Guys") since the beginning of the century...made me a Nick Swardson fan...quotables for days

The Goonies 67%:shaq2:

for this alone, those reviewers should be neutered and locked up while still bleeding in a old Soviet gulag

Step brothers at 55 percent; one of the best comedies ever and has aged well over the years; quotables for days
Hate "Stepbrothers". Only comedies I can think that are wacker than it are "This Is The End" and "Stuck on You"....funny how Damon fanboys forget all about that movie
