Probably the greatest bodybuilder of all time.
He really wrecked himself lifting super heavy weight and doing squats.

Sad as it is to see how his body has degraded over the years, hearing Ronnie talk is just a joy. He's got so much optimism and positivity.

Recently I saw a video trending about Jay Cutler admitting that he didn't beat the best version of Ronnie. He gets so much respect from other guys who competed against him.

On one hand dude has clearly done so much damage to his body so why risk even more? On the other dude had to have a certain mentality to get to this point. He clearly values this more than his well being/quality of life. My worse nightmare is being unable to function on my own especially at such a relatively young age. It appears its a worthy exchange to him. I certainly hope so. I wish him well.

This is why you listen to your body. I remember when the whole bodybuilding thing was huge, these guys were telling you you were weak because you didn't blast through the pain and ignore the signals your body gave you.
Yeah the older that I get the more I listen to my body. Got sick on Friday and skipped out 3 days from the gym. Knowing back in the day I would drag myself to the gym despite not feeling good/ being sick.

I’m looking at the gym/working out as a journey and not competition now

Gains will always come back but not the health
