What does that have to do with it? Some people get lifetime shoulder injuries from benching 185 :heh:
An 800 lb squat to Ronnie might be the equivalent of a 300lb squat to an average joe.

I don’t think so. I always heard smith machine squats are worse because it locks you into a specific range of motion.
Bet, I'll do lounges on the days where I'm in the complex gym instead.

:mjlol:I’m sure there were other contributing factors to that shoulder injury.

I respect the fact that despite all his back surgeries, he still loves working out.

:mjlol:The average coli bruh isn’t squatting what Ronnie was squatting. To be worried about snapping their shyt. Know your limits, having great form, don’t ego lift, listen to your body, and a good spotter/safety arms. I personally don’t squat heavy it’s low weight high reps for me.
This right here. You can really tell that the average coli poster has no idea about lifting(fitness in general) and this thread highlights it. Salute to Coleman.

Ain't that a bıtch :picard:
The people saying don’t do squats just suck / hate doing squats.

It’s ok do 70-85% of your one rep max. It’s actually recommended, even as you get older.

Now if you’re constantly maxing out or ego lifting(bad form) then that’s problematic.

I just hate how the majority of the Coli runs with the lie that squats and deadlifts lead to injury. The exercises aren't the problem. Most people do not know how to lift or train correctly which leads to them getting hurt. Can't compare that to a situations like Ronnie's. He was pushing his body to limits no one on here will come close to.

I squat and deadlift but I understand both perspectives.

Your body keeps the score though.

Also, not stretching for sure.
I agree and look I’m not saying that the average person. Can’t injure themselves while lifting weights low or heavy. I’m just saying that it’s wild that bruhs fear squatting. Because of a 8 times Mr. Olympia who pushes his body. To superhuman limits snapped his shyt. The average person isn’t putting their body through hell. Like the Ronnie Colemans of the world. Know your limits, have great form, don’t ego lift, listen to your body, warm up, and have a good spotter/safety arms. Then you should be fine.

But he was screaming that it was light weight all these years. The weight has always been kicking my ass :what:
