A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
If it's Dallas, they have to pull in a third team as well.

According to CBS Sports' Ken Berger, Rajon Rondo would consider re-signing with the Dallas Mavericks or Houston Rockets if traded to either this season:

Given Rondo's looming unrestricted free agency, any deal would have to come with assurances that he'd be willing to re-sign with his new team. While those discussions have yet to take place with agent Bill Duffy since no trade agreement is in place, a person familiar with Rondo's thinking said the possibility of competing for championships in Dallas or Houston intrigues him.

Check out the rest of Berger's article. He makes a compelling statistical case for Rondo to join the dream team of Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons, Tyson Chandler, and Monta Ellis or become the third Big in Houston's Big Three of Dwight Howard, James Harden, and himself. Those are far cries from the rebuilding roster of the Celtics, but as Rondo stated last night, he wants to remain in Boston and he's "enjoying life" with his "funny" teammates.

Of the two Texas teams, the Rockets make for a more intriguing trade partner over the Mavs. As Berger notes, the Rockets have an expiring TPE from the Jeremy Lin trade that they need to use by tomorrow. They could flip that $8.4M player plus some picks and young talent and make a more attractive offer than the Brandan-Wright-Jae-Crowder-picks hodge podge that Dallas is serving up.

and dallas wont want to give up monta, chandler, dirk, or parsons... so i'm not sure what they have that would appeal to boston

wright is an expiring contract too so it's not like he'd be a long term piece

i'm okay with the Celtics trading rondo, green, bass, and Wallace tho

Mark Cuban hittin Rondo with that under the table money breh's:win:

that writer is a fukkin idiot. u cant combine a TPE with players to get another player and league offices generally dont co-sign multiple deals that are really one deal. the rockets are out of the equation with that TPE scenario

i was thinking 3 team deal too...like @beaniemac said..that pick is gonna be garbage if its just dallas' pick. i wonder if the hornets and lance get involved somehow since those rumors arose and they keep losing.

just toss him to the knicks and be done with it

rondo wallace olynyk for amare timmy jr and a first

we cut 23 mil off the cap right there..phil likes rondo, melo likes rondo. rondo doesnt fit in the triangle but the knicks suck anyway and would prob co-sign
:why::dahell::rudy:

Are you on crack nikka?! U think they'll trade amare Timmy and a first for rondo Wallace and olynyk when amare comes off the books this year , Timmy is a young asset and a first round pick is a first round pick? Did u think before posting this?:dahell:

And:laff::laff: At the reasons you give why we would go ahead with this trade:dead:

you think the hornets would move lance for simply an expiring in wright?

also, lance to the hornets doesn't seem to be a fit with them having both green and bradley playing SF/SG. UNLESS they think bradley can move to the point.

Rondo is still young so he has a lot of good years ahead of him. If only someone could teach the cat to shoot. Remember how Jason Kidd was also a brick layer coming into the league? He turned it around and became deadly from 3 so im sure there is hope for Rondo.

As for a team that fits Rondo right now? I can only think of the Knicks, really. Phil likes big guards but it's not like he has anyone better.
I dont quite get/see the Dallas thing thats being discussed right now. :patrice: Memphis, maybe? :ld:
Nah Conley is the right fit for them because they need scoring form their backcourt

He's going to be 29 in a few months, he's NEVER gonna be able to shoot - that ship sailed a long time ago.
