u dont think the ship has sailed on kings/celts talks? there have been whispers of a deal between them of some sort for almost 2 years now...from danny trying to snipe cousins to the celts sending rondo on draft night if they couldnt pull love. only thing i can think of is that danny wanted to see if mclemore would improve...id be cool with collison though hes playing well imo

I don't think it's sailed at all, especially not with Vivek in charge of things in Sac, he probably still thinks they can make the playoffs.

The Celtics western trading partners are kind of limited, the only playoff team in the West that doesn't have a decent PG would be the Mavs.

on a serious note i dont really think the knicks would accept that but if i was ainge that would be the only offer id consider. there isnt much the knicks can offer other than cap space via amare and the celts fan base would be furious if we traded rondo in division just for cap space

i dont think getting a pt back is necessary in a rondo deal. they can roll with smart/pressey/turner/bradley to handle the ball for now.

with that said..hes DEFINITELY interested in monroe. id accept that trade quick but stan would be out of his mind to do that

you know a realistic scenario is the knicks use their expiring contracts in order to help facilitate a trade and mayb grab an asset like a pick or something for their trouble. teams do that all the time.....

I'm hearing that Ainge is willing to take Brian Roberts straight up for Rondo. I don't know if Charlotte will be willing to do that though - Boston may need to add a couple of first rounders to sweeten the deal.
