300 murders a year
The top 2 I can't argue with. Aretha and Whitney, we might not ever see again. They clearly are the top 2.

But the rest of that list is a joke. Patti labelle is in the top 10. So is Luther.

Them sliding "their" artist in there is also a joke. Dolly Parton :mjlol:

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Donny being #126 :pachaha:(that should automatically make this list invalid)

Gladys #101

Usher #97

Anita #92

MJ #86

Patti #74

Ruffin #66

Minnie #65

Teddy #42

Luther #31

Marvin #20

Throw that shyt away

No Faith, Ron Isley, Carl, Jill, Teena Marie, Maxwell, Uncle Charlie lol. I could go on and on. Some of the names i see on that list could never sing with those people I mentioned.

11 year old Michael Jackson alone clears Beyoncé vocally.

Nah.. two different voices/skillsets
Beyonce is a vocal monster.. she be going from these crazy mixolydian scales to full on operatic arias in a flip of a beat.. huge, powerful belts to the most masterful legato lines.. her technique and actual repertoire enables her to sing virtually anything w/perfect diction and perfect pitch.
MJ is magic, but from a purely musical point of view Beyoncé’s done things with her instrument that MJ never attempted or shown the capacity for.. MJ is one of the most influential voices of all time though.

These lists are subjective by their very nature, you see that by the fact that this thread already has 40-50 people named as "definitely" Top Ten. :russ:

Personally for me Marvin Gaye was the one that was most wild to leave out the top 10, but everyone has a different answer. It's literally impossible to create any objective criteria that tells you if Luther Vandross is better than Ray Charles or Kurt Cobain is better than Taylor Swift. There's always going to be subjectivity involved when it comes to art, but hot-tempered posters think their opinion is the only objective one.
Subjectivity is not a pass for obvious nonsense.

Aaliyah but no Celine DION.

Nah.
