Lets say we win 7-8 games next season, which seems doable. We have two 1st round picks. That would give us between the 8 and 14 pick. We also have the Rams pick. Lets assume the Rams get another wildcard or come close so the pick is mid to late 20s. It would certainly be possible to package both picks to move into the top 5 for a QB. If our guy is there, Holmes should go get him.

yes, if the jags, cincy, jets fall in that range. No if nyg, Mia. A team that needs a qb is not trading out of those spots no matter what we put together. Cincy wouldn’t move back a few spots and we wanted the wr they wanted.

I sincerely hope that the Lions get relocated or deleted from the NFL. I hate that they turn everything they touch into shyt. I wish they never existed so they would never have the opportunity ruin the careers of Barry, Megatron, Stafford, and all the others who were victimized.

This time it's different. I can feel it in the air. Dan Campbell is tolerable but I trust in Brad Holmes. We've had a string of incompetent GMs that just ended with him.

Lions low key most stable team in NFC North :ohhh:

Packers about to be in cap hell. Rodgers gone, probably can’t afford to pay Adams. Jordan Love is terrible

Bears- new coach/gm. Is Fields answer at QB? Poor oline, aging Dline

Vikings- new coach/gm. Stuck on Cousins treadmill.
They're in pretty good shape going forward depending on how much talent they acquire this offseason.

To have sustained, long-term success though, they need a Hall of Fame quarterback.

Across the league, teams win for short periods with mediocre QBs but the franchises in the mix year after year for a decade-plus have a Hall of Famer taking the snaps.

Some people seem to think playing hard gonna get the lions to go from worst to first. Everybody in the nfl plays hard. Maybe not every week. They need talent all over the field. That lil surge towards the end after the season was over got the Honolulu blue Kool aid coming out in this thread.

i agree but I don’t think stroud or young will be available to us if we’re as good as we will be cuz I don’t think we’ll finish bottom 10. The other teams in that range will probably stand pat and take those 2.

I see us extending Goff if we improve. The GM that drafted him is on our team.
The gm that drafted Jared Goff is still the gm of the rams.

I hope u liking what you see from the likes of Jimmy g and tannehill if you want Goff to be your qb

You know what I meant. He’s the one to convince the gm to get your guy if he’s your guy and I didn’t say I wanted Goff at qb. You can’t assume Holmes is ready to move on from the guy he saw as the number 1 pick.
