Impressed by the draft, to the point that if this works I could see this team competing in a year. They have completely revamped the d-line. Good luck running on these guys. More importantly we have guys who can penetrate and get to the QB. The exact opposite of Patricia’s bullshyt. This automatically makes the secondary better.
Everything I'm reading about these two DTs says they are run stoppers and not pass rushers. I know they couldn't stop anything last year but if they're still not getting to the quarterback, it won't matter.

Bruh after all these years we been in here bytching and complaining about stafford and you talking bout let’s hope for Goff who ain’t even as good as stafford.
:deadmanny:

Roll them dice or whatever else they gotta do to get one of these young studs and let’s see what happen.
12 years of Padford :hula: 5 years of Goff, who's won a division title, playoff games, been to a Super Bowl. It isn't like they traded for Mitch Trubisky. Nobody can say Goff hasn't played at a high level before.

Drew Brees wasn't a Hall of Famer before signing with the Saints. Tannehill's been great for the Titans; Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner had good seasons in Arizona; Cunningham resurrected his career in Minnesota; Vick did in Philly, etc. A change of scenery could work wonders for Goff. :hubie:

Levi supposed to project as a pass rusher. Saw a Sheldon Richardson comparison in scouting report. Holmes said Lions tried to trade back into end of first to draft him and he fell to 2nd pick

if Brockers is going to have same role he had in LA he’ll play outside alot so having two young DTs isn’t bad idea. Can’t depend on Hand at this point

Another long athletic cb with all the physical tools. Amani looks like a player hopefully this guy is better than his brother was. Maybe okudah would be better at Safety:jbhmm:

His cover skills were suspect as hell but the boy can tackle

Worried about WR and LBs though. We might as well just bring Golden Tate back. He loves lions. And maybe this staff gives Reeves Maybin a chance to actually start

Levi was a penetrator as well, just didn’t get sacks. Brockers, Flowers, and Okrara can get QBs. I thought the biggest issue with Flowers was that the rest of the line was trash. A competent line will allow him to focus on his strengths.

You should watch this game .

Alim says his numbers were down this year because of scheme (he was asked to anchor and keep the linebackers clean) and he was doubled and tripled every play. If this game was any indication of his entire season he wasn't lying. One thing that stood out on this game was he held the point of attack multiple times during double and triple teams. The other thing i noticed was on the rare occasion he was singled he got pressure on passing downs. The thing that stood out to me wass he's not fast enough to chase down a qb from behind but how many 300lb lineman can.

I doubt he gets doubled in Detroit so I don't think it's impossible to think he can get penetration and be disruptive but maybe not be a sack master. Our problem last year was we couldn't get pressure. I think he'll help in that regard.

What a breath of fresh air. Athletes. Speed. After two GMs who had little (Mayhew) to no (Quinn) interest in those things, this is great.

USC WR looks like he'll make some noise. Assuming we get another WR via waivers or undrafted agents I'm...basically fine with the WR core. It's not great but you can add a better piece next year.

Mayhew don’t belong in the same class as Quinn. Mayhew actually built a competent roster.

He hit on many picks but missed on many later ones (outside of Diggs) and was terrible at cap management. Ebron pick was also disqualifying to me, one of the top 10 worst draft picks of the last decade. But I agree that from a talent perspective yea....by Quinn's end most of the team's talent was STILL from Mayhew guys. That's a sign of how fukking terrible Quinn was/is.

These idiots let Quandre Diggs go and he immediately became a pro bowler
