NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
This is definitely the "cleanest" sounding Roc album ever, I can see this being a big plus for some.

If you look at "Deja vu" as a trailer it makes perfect sense as the first taste (or single ?) while something like "Zig Zag Zig" would be a spoiler,

Was gonna rant but fukk it

Top 5 tracks

Side a:
Quantum Leap
Liquid Coke

Side B"
JJ Flash
Zig Zag Zig

Round it out with either of the bonus cuts, Don't agree with whoever said they don't add much ,2 of the stronger tracks imo.
What would u rant about? Lol

Eddie Sancho the GOAT blessed it, wouldn't expect anything less. Now if only someone could get Ka some decent mixing/mastering on his next album...

Some things are better left unsaid, 2 things though:

  • fukk an Action Bronson

  • I'll never hand out brownie points for having drums on a fukking hip hop album
1. Ok? Random. Lol.
2. Oversimplification? Whose giving out brownie points? If this shyt had no drums I would still rock wit it. But he gave people what they wanted since he’s been more on the abstract side the last few joints.
3. Yea I agree. Leave it unsaid. Lol

Now it would be great if the other 15 or so songs they did would be drumless and just release it to piss most people off!!!

For sure. As a Roc fan I've endured some pretty bad mixing from Rosebudd's Revenge up through Mt Marci. And I usually get annoyed and roll my eyes at people that regularly complain about mixing. I mean old Wu albums are some of my favorites and some of those have some low quality mixing. I think a lot of that stuff can add to the appeal. But with Roc is was up and down and inconsistent...and also his brand was that of such a fine art lyricist/fine wine kind of rapper that it made no sense for the mixes not to be really clean.

This is the cleanest Roc album I've heard since Reloaded. I don't feel like listening to them all to "make sure" because it's not that big of a deal, but my intuition is that's the case.

Liquid Coke and Stigmata both 2 that really grew on me since this dropped.

Macaroni too. Reminds me of a lot of Reloaded era stuff with the slower flow.

That's what I wanted to hear. Especially the quality of his vocals has been disappointing for me with Roc's music starting with Rosebudd. So I always hoped it would be better with Alchemist on the boards for the entire album.
