I'm excited for this. Although Robocop 3 was the second time in my life I was ever disappointed going to the movies(the first was TMNT III the month before).

What if they have Robocop shooting an unarmed black teenager in the movie :patrice:

Edit: I missed other people thinking the same thing. That why I like this site, people on here think the way I do.

I am not sure how I feel about this yet, I really feel this dude needs to make that District 9 sequel, that's what people been asking for. Many months ago I read something that he is finally going to continue the story for District 9 and now this new pops up. I love the OG Robocop and is one of my favorite movies. The remake a few years ago didn't really do it for me but it had its moments. Maybe if it got another movie they could of improved on the things that worked.

Peter Weller still active too let's goooooo:blessed:

No reason why Robocop has been fukked for so long. Dont even know why or who made the decision for 3 to be pg-13:dead:

Make it a direct sequel too 2, give it a hard R and dont fukk with the God damm suit and its a easy money maker. You can only fukk that formula up by getting too cute and doing too much which the remake did in spades.

-Car bombing instead of a shooting :scust:

-That suit, keeping the hand and having his face visible 95% of the time:scust:

Glad movie companys are learning from their remake / reimagining mistakes and just going the "Direct Sequel" root. If there are no new ideas out there and your gonna go to old movies dont get cute:yeshrug:

Everyone calling for a District 9 sequel, I get it. But Neil needs a hit right now and I think studios, and the man himself, are betting a RoboCop sequel has more cache behind it and is more of a sure thing than a District 9 sequel. He's had two movies not do so well and then he had Alien 5 derailed; homie needs a hit like a crack head needs a hit

I blame that jealous old racist Ridley Scott for this shyt. People say what they want about Blomkamp but Ridley Scott has delivered 2 garbage ass prequels (Is that what they are now? I heard he's trying to kill off the Xenomorph itself and focus on David...what kind of shyt is this?) to his precious Alien, not to mention dumpster fire Gods & Kings, the artwork for Blomkamp's Alien sequel looked amazing. I didnt have a problem with Elysium at all but Chappie was whatever though.
I along with a few others in here didnt really have a problem with that Robocop reboot. The issue is they named it Robocop when it wasn't and mostly a forgettable action movie.

I mean you can blame him all day. Why it didn’t happen isn’t the issue. It didn’t happen. So that was another missed opportunity for a W under his belt and the man needs some W’s. I’m not talking critical acclaim quality, I mean a hit movie. He’s had one hit movie in an almost 10 year career now. That’s not a great look for someone. Especially someone with peter Jackson’s blessing.

This isn’t about Ridley. This is about Neil and Neil needs to right his ship

I prefer a D9 sequel and that's the movie he's known most for. A Robocop movie could do well or could flop too, it's a gamble either way. I'm in for a Robocop movie though.
