This was kinda bothering me. You settle estates and you don't ask for a translator or something?
I thought that was a dream or vision of what he was getting into.
1) He was too fixated on the money and was determined to get his dividends so he can start a family.
2). Naw ol boy has muddy boots, that let you know he wasn't dreaming. He really saw a Vampire getting murdered in cold blood. Even Orlock helped reassure him that the "filthy" practice was not a vision or dream.
That movie was creepy as fukk but it was a really great horror film and cinematic masterpiece. The critics got this one right...
Only thing I wished they did more was have his shadow act creepy a bit more like in Dracula. But I understand why they went a different approach tho.
My fav part was when he was in the castle and Orlock was moving creepy about with the fireplace burning. That entire exchange was great.
