Sigh, BBB really let Alan be the sole owner of the domain and now they can't use it anymore.

I would like to see them be successful but that is such a stupid basic ass thing to do, it makes me not have much faith in the business. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

Check my post history. I supported Lavar from the jump. Always rocked with BBB. The truth is the truth tho. He proved the naysayers right. I loved the idea of starting your own shyt and betting on yourself but I have to call it how I see it.

I can't ignore the fact that the product was trash, I can't ignore the fact that Lonzo seems to not even be behind his own product. I can't ignore the fact that a felon was running the company and ended up stealing from it.

Bruh like I said it’s about supporting (verbally or financially) brehs trying to do their own thing legally without hurting or taking away from anyone else. It’s not about coming in and having “I told you so” parties when a brother fails or takes a step back. Most of these nikkas never supported what he was doing.

Product was trash based on Lonzo who wants to separate hisself from Lavar or trash from the aspect that you actually bought the product? The reason BBB did not take off is because Lonzo didn’t. That’s the only reason. Everything else are the type of mistakes every start up company has. I just needa keep tabs on some of the nikkas in here talking down who will be in the next thread talking about “group economics” or how “the white man” won’t give them a job..

You can't put that on Lonzo. Lonzo got hurt wearing those sneakers. He coulda been in the middle of an all-star campaign and it wouldn't have been a good look regardless. Zion got hurt at Duke wearing Nike and everyone looked at Nike like "y'all fukked up."

Here's a question: how good was Lonzo supposed to be to justify $500 sneakers that fukked your ankles up?

This is where yall like to be intellectually dishonest. It's not nitpicking to question whether a man whose profession was personal trainer was prepared to run an apparel brand and create a basketball shoe. If they were just selling t-shirts or clothing that's fine but kicks? I really don't think people understood what it takes to make a performance sneaker. There's a lot of R&D involved which they clearly didn't do to have his sneaker created from the draft to the start of the season. The end result was Zo abandoning the product because he couldn't play in it. Who was on the right side of history? You guys are arguing when the evidence is right there in front of you that you were wrong.

What expertise did Phil Knight have in running an apparel brand? None. But he had he vision to do it and through wins and losses, he made it into a conglomerate. For starting from the ground up, Lavar accomplished alot.

If it's about "support" we can assume yall got a closet full of BBB gear right? If the Zo2 price was smart yall copped a pair right?

Okay so going by that level of support who would have money? I come across an aspiring black artist? Oh have to buy his art. A sister that is opening a hair store? Oops gotta get me a lacefront. The guy that just opened a dog breeding business? Let me get that poodle... Support can be verbal and/or financial.

Lavar's family has no black people in it:mjlol:

Lavar is a black man and so are his brothers. But you're dikk watching so continue on :wrist:

Yea and Brandon Roy got hurt in nikes. So what? Unless he got hurt BECAUSE of the shoes, it isnt relevant. I know, you'll bring up what Zo said. Im not buying that he went thru 200 pairs of shoes because they were busting every quarter. He was laying it on thick so he could separate himself from the brand..

Switch Lonzo and Lebron coming out of HS. How much more successful would BBB be behind a cant miss player like Lebron? The shoes not being comfortable can be worked on going forward.

Lol so Lonzos a liar now because it doesnt fit your narrative?

nikka aint no average joe paying $500 for a rookies shoe. How TF was this "smart"? You mention Starburys failing (even though Id argue they were way more successful than BBB) due to price point which doesnt account for yknow, Marbury becoming a NBA pariah right during the brands peak. (straight from Marburys mouth btw: Stephon Marbury Is Building a Sneaker Empire $30 at a Time)

You mention Bron but Not even Bron wouldve moved massive units with that steep a price point. Hell even people who wanted to buy the sneakers had to suffer massive delays and shortfalls in purchasing and shipping. So even assuming it was a hot product, maintaining momentum seemed next to impossible.

Dont put all this on Lonzo not being worth as high as he was drafted. BBB's rollout was mediocre at best and thats not surprising considering the circumstances. But just because their mistakes were expected doesnt mean Lavar gets a pass.

No Lonzo is following the media propaganda of splitting from his father. Why else would he go in public and say what he did about a brand his dad created for HIM? And he would have had to have went thru 200+ pairs of shoes if what he said was right. Do I believe that? Absolutely not. This is the same company that created Jamal Crawfords shoes btw.

Lavar didnt want to do discount shoes so he upped the ticket on his shoes. So what? That was a marketing ploy. In the end we can go over the mistakes over and over again. Or we can send positive energy in terms of support to a black brother who tried to boss up on the very same cacs yall call "white supremacists". And instead of support, most of yall followed the media's trail in hating on the guy. Nitpicking his moves. If I saw a black electrician trying to do his own thing, I'd support him. I wouldnt sit down and make a list of his failures and throw them in his face. But this is what yall do (not literally) with Lavar. Why? Because yall follow the media.

Bron comes out of high school in this day and age with his own shoe and they're taking off. Period. Thats what Lavar was betting on with Zo or maybe even Melo. It didnt happen and so we're here now. I support BBB because of the trickle down effect it would have had had he been successful in competing with Nike. The amount of black people who would have turned to entrepreneurship instead of taking the easy way out (Take the nike check!! :damn: ass nikkas) would have went way up. And if yall call this society "white supremacist" then thats exactly what black peole need to be seeing and doing.
