Lang to Detroit for 3 years :manny: Lots of people were concerned last year when we cut Sitton but he was a huge afterthought once the season started. I trust Ted with the oline.

But we better spend the extra $ on upgrading the D and not just sitting on it ( :whoa: )

Lions overpaid.

We're going to miss Lang. But it is easier to find guards. Bulaga should stay at RT.

Looks like Lacy's gone too, which i'm ok with... Lang leaving will hurt abit but i'm glad we didn't overpay for him...

Honestly, none of this shlt matters unless we make some major moves/signings on defense... We're BADLY in need of some DBs, especially now with hyde gone...

House is going to play outside. He sucks in the slot. He was our best CB vs. Julio and Megatron in 2014 :whew:

It's weird he got benched last year. He must have mentally checked out cause he isn't hurt and he's only 27. He had a really good 2015.

Now, if TT just signs a LB like Zach Brown... and a RB, we'll be in good shape. There's not a lot of offensive line talent to pick up in FA... we going to hope Murphy can step up or we play a rookie in Lang's place. :patrice:

Bulaga and Spriggs ain't playing guard.

Just need a linebacker now I think. Everything else we can find in the draft.

So if I get this right, we let go of Davon House and Casey in a year that we fought for a SB title, just to resign House the next year after we let go of Sam Shields?

So realistically, given the amount of cap space we had this year and last year, we could've signed some much needed veteran presence to the defensive side of the ball, that would've insured that we did not have a defensive collapse in the NFC championship game.

I refuse to believe TT plays to win a SB every year.

I want Zach Brown, ILB from Buffalo.

Then draft CB in round 1, a pass rusher in round 2, RB/OG in rounds 3 and 4.

They ain't going to let Shields play breh, thats why they cut him. His concussions did him in. TT was an idiot letting Hayward go like that and leaving the keys to the kingdom to 3 2nd year CBs.

They're going to have to draft a CB too.

What's more concerning is the LB situation. We have only 2 pass rushers and the same marginal average crap at ILB. Zach Brown and Barwin would both improve that unit big time. We have the cap space.

You are right, TT doesn't play to win. He plays to be "competitive"... I remember when they won the Super Bowl and he had the look that he didn't expect that shid.

The reason for his dropoff, House said, was that the Jaguars changed their defense and started playing more zone. House said his game is press-man coverage and he struggled to play the other system. At the end of the season, he and the Jaguars agreed it was time for him to move on.

He'll be allowed to play a lot of press coverage in coordinator Dom Capers' system. He expects to be the guy he was in Jacksonville in 2015.

"My first year they were Pro Bowl numbers," he said. "Of 104 balls thrown my way, I gave up 51 catches, which is pretty good with four picks and 23 pass breakups. So my first year there was my style of football, but the next year just didn’t turn out that way with the defense changing.
