Maybe he finally figured the game out? I don't know, but he was a completely different player than we've seen. Sure, it could be the 'contract year' bump, but I'm optimistic that it wasn't.
I'm just saying, this looks like TT trying to save face and overpaying for an undeserving player. Instead of firing Dom Capers, it just look like he cares about the defense cause he made a big signing.
But all you did was resign a player who never played up to his rookie contract, at ANY point of his career, until his contract season - IN WHICH HE DIDN'T EVEN PLAY ALL 16 GAMES OF THE SEASON. Which by the way, he has never done, at any point of his career.

We haven't even gotten into the reality of the depth chart. Does anyone want to admit that the main reason peppers is on this team is because Nick Perry and Mike Neal were basura.
If Nick Perry is a 5/60mil starter, then why are we resigning Julius Peppers? To only play on 3rd downs?
Unless Clay is moving to MLB, this was a terrible use of team funds and roster management.
