Still want Lang back. And hopefully Lacy on a 1 year deal. Wouldn't mind a free agent corner on a 1 year deal either.

I want Lang back too

And they almost have to sign a CB

Shields is gone and we have Randall who is the only one who has any semblance of speed but he's so stupid

I do not give a flying fukk who gets picked up on the offensive side of the ball. We just signed Nick Perry to a 5 year deal? Holy shyt we're doomed.

His cap number is low till year 3

He's getting $20M this year but his cap number will be where it was this past year at around $5M.

It's TT's fault for not drafting good OLBs. We still need LBs who can rush and cover :snoop:

I'm fine with the Perry deal, ESPECIALLY after seeing how it breaks down. The way I see it, last year could be his breakout year. If we get THAT player going forward, he'll earn every penny. If he reverts, then we can get out relatively easy. Win/Win.

Always rocked with Bennett but I would've rather we kept Cook for what he brings to the offense with his speed.

Bennett is so much better then Cook. Bennett can do it all, block, pass catch and he will play injured. To see Bennett inline blocking while ARod runs around then breaking out to catch, is going to be fun to watch.

why would we get that player going forward :jbhmm:

why do y'all do this to yourselves every year?

Maybe he finally figured the game out? I don't know, but he was a completely different player than we've seen. Sure, it could be the 'contract year' bump, but I'm optimistic that it wasn't. :yeshrug:

because he is only 26.

I'm just saying, this looks like TT trying to save face and overpaying for an undeserving player. Instead of firing Dom Capers, it just look like he cares about the defense cause he made a big signing.

But all you did was resign a player who never played up to his rookie contract, at ANY point of his career, until his contract season - IN WHICH HE DIDN'T EVEN PLAY ALL 16 GAMES OF THE SEASON. Which by the way, he has never done, at any point of his career.

:russ: Nick Perry 2016 Splits | Pro-Football-Reference.com: Yo 5.5 of his sacks came the Lions and the Vikings

We haven't even gotten into the reality of the depth chart. Does anyone want to admit that the main reason peppers is on this team is because Nick Perry and Mike Neal were basura.

If Nick Perry is a 5/60mil starter, then why are we resigning Julius Peppers? To only play on 3rd downs? :mjlol:

Unless Clay is moving to MLB, this was a terrible use of team funds and roster management.

I'm more concerned that Clay is descending while Perry since late 2015 seemed to become better

Clay's dumbass didn't figure out he's a better ILB than OLB

That's not up to clay though. TT had no issue making Bulaga the RT instead of the LT. If they wanted to force the issue, they could've. But no one, especially Dom Capers will do that.

Not to mention, Clay is/was still playing with a fukked up hamstring. You literally cannot do anything if you're afraid of popping that thing again.
