Why aren't y'all realizing some brands do well by doing what they're supposed to do - provide competent athletic gear. Everything ain't about casual fashion. My best running shoes are asics, yea nikes may be cuter but they don't perform.

And these corny kids buying his shoe are the best demographic as they are where you want to start building brand awareness and loyalty, ain't nobody worried bout converting 40 year old nikkas.

See this is why if you worked for Nike, I'd call you a retard.

This isn't about the present, this is about the future.

You and I see Nike for what it is because we grew up with a non-stop barrage of marketing from Nike and Jordan products.

Guess what?

Your kids and my kids may very well look at LeBron sneakers and Kobe sneakers as old, nobody-gives-a-fukk-anymore joints.

When I go to the gym I see young kids wearing Under Armour shirts and wearing Curry sneakers, not LeBrons or Kobes.

Under Armour has Curry, Jordan Spieth, and a whole host of new markets lined up that will own the future. I guarantee you Curry's basketball brand will undoubtedly be what Jordan was to Nike in the distant future. Maybe not as a lifestyle brand, but as a sports brand, I am more than confident Under Armour is going to be what Nike is considered now.

It could if curry keeps winning rings and mvps

What young black person are rockin Steph Curry UA's :mjlol:
I never said he had infiltrated the black demographic.

But you go to any gym or court these days and white and Asian dudes are wearing Currys in droves.

Money is money. And Currys shoes move way more these days than KDs or LeBron's and that's just facts.

Dudes in here are arguing different points, so both sides are technically right...

Currys are very popular among young hoopers...But it's for on court performance only..When they go to the movies, mall or club it's LeBrons or J's...Nobody is gonna go on their first date wearing Under Armour.. It's pretty much used as equipment and not for fashion like Nike..

Asics are the best when it comes to running.
Hands down.
I used to look down on them as white people sneakers but the comfort, fit, bounciness are undeniable.

He had glass ankles.

That's worse for Nike :mjlol: Their trash ass shoes were holding back one of the GOATs from his true potential for years :blessed:

Also, this article from 2013 :ohhh:

The Golden State Warriors no longer have to worry about winning at Oracle Arena. You may as well pencil them in for a 41-0 mark at home during the 2013-14 season.

After all, Curry is going to go out of his way to protect his house now that he's reportedly signing with Under Armour.

Yep under armor got a niche like Tesla. shyt don't mean Tesla gonna over take Honda and Tesla stock is worth over 200 dollars more than Honda. But Tesla ain't fukking with Honda today tomorrow or 10 years from now.

I read this article and thought it was a complete waste of time.

It took a whole lot of words just to say that Nike didn't offer Curry his own camp...and they botched his sales meeting by mis-pronouncing his name and recycling a presentation from Kevin Durant.

This article should have been 200 words long.

shyt was click bait. You know how slow folks are when it comes to reading stuff on the internet.

shyt reminds me how folks come up with bull shyt numbers in the US how soccer is so popular and will over take every American sports in 20 years. The internet is filled with so much propaganda.

Let's not even get into global sales. Jesus Christ if I had a dollar every time I done seen an Asian in China with some real or fake Nikes or Iphones I would have more money than the US Department of Defense.
