Rick Glaser: Mayweather v Maidana 2 did only 772k PPV buys...not 925k. Dan Rafael says high 800k.

Are we going to rank our favorite boxers by PPV sales like hip-hop artists?? :camby:

:russ:

No flip floppin Floyd Stan

Back in 2010, thats all Floyd talked about was his PPV sales against Manny/Arum/Top Rank. What happened to all that crap? :sas1::sas2:

Struggle to hit a million PPV buys.... now the shyt just dont matter anymore huh? :stopitslime:

Face it, fighting Oscar helped Floyd's career, PPV Numbers, & bank acct.

I remember them days when Floyd wasn't even the main event on his own rematch against Castillo. :heh:

He was only pulling in 300K PPV buys fighting the likes of Gatti and Zab Judah. :sadcam:

700 k buys isnt bad, it was a sh!tty card and sh!tty main event

anybody with a brain knew maidana was garbage

That fight was beyond shytty, it was downright putrid.

He better bring on Manny Pacquaio next or else his PPV numbers gonna crash and burn like 50 Cent's rap career.

Remember that first Oscar-Floyd HBO 24-7? Floyd was yellin out "Im the 50 Cent of Boxing!!!"

Well my nikka..... have your wish! :lolbron:

get this :trash: article and :dahell: opinion out of here
Where you been at for the past couple years because you can't have a discussion with a Mayweather fan without them bringing up Floyd's PPV numbers. They bring up his PPV numbers more than his actual in-ring skills.
So when he does less than expected and less than what he has done previously it is a topic of discussion because Floyd's success as a marquee attraction is and always has been a hot topic of discussion.

And aside from my hope that the bad returns on the Floyd deal means Espinoza loses his position of power at Showtime, I would hope that declining PPV sales would be a wake-up call to the sport as a whole that no matter who you are not every one of your fights need to be on PPV. PPV should be for special high caliber high quality events. Floyd and Maidana doesn't fit that mold just like Pac and Algieri doesn't fit it either.

Floyd gotta be :lupe: right now with canelo going to HBO. if floyd don't fight manny he has no hope competing vs canelo/cotto. I really do believe the pacquiao is gonna go down though...floyd signing ariza is a major sign. floyd doesn't wanna take any chance of ariza going back to pacquiao so he locked him down until his retirement. shyt is going down in may.

ok ? So when Arum inflating PPV sales and lying about fights doing well or not releasing any PPV numbers at all, nobody complains, right ? Where are all the cable companies to confirm his made up numbers ?

Pac did not even break 400k vs Rios. Inflating his sales to "roughly" 500k means we all know Bob piled up a good chunk of those numbers. I mean, if you neggas can';t see the big picture and wanna troll then go on.

The same thing Floyd going through now will be the same thing your kids will gop through if they play sports unless they a good house negro or they sign a slave deal.

@krackdagawd wait til your son is beating on cacs and talking slick. SInce you have a good idea about deals and sports management watch how they build walls against you. :sas2:

My sister is learning this now

The guys competing with himself tho
No one else is even hitting 500
Decent numbers if you consider the shytty card

What yall fail to realize is, we ALL know the numbers are decent numbers. HOWEVER, Floyd himself made it a point to address the fact he was doing 1+ million PPVs and everyone else (Pacquiao basically was who he was going at) was doing around 700-850k, so that means he wasnt anything at the box office....and yall Floyd stans ran with it.

Now that Floyd is dropping down extremely (2.2 million in September 2013 to "only" 772k in September 2014:damn:), yall wanna act reasonable and respect the numbers (and bring up the undercards as a point of Floyd's non-normal success when yall didnt give a fukk about the roles the undercards played in Floyd's success previously like we told yall)....it's too late:yeshrug:

Pacquiao's last fight he did 750-800k. Floyd's last fight he just did 772k.

is there any fighter out there besides pac that won't keep floyd from doing under 600K next time out?....I just cant see it. and not golovkin either cause that's never happening. but as far as 147-154, there's really nothing out there for floyd that will get him anywhere close to 1 mil. floyd is in a position where he's going to be forced to fight pacquiao. theres no other option.

If he fights Adrien Broner, he'd do 1 million. That would be the WSHH/Twitter/Facebook PPV of the decade:mjlol:

Other than that though, I dont see it...unless he doubles back and fights Canelo again:yeshrug:
