Rick Glaser: Mayweather v Maidana 2 did only 772k PPV buys...not 925k. Dan Rafael says high 800k.

The deal he signed with Showtime

Yea but you don't know the over head, last say the 727,000 number is true, which isn't really a confirmed number, lets just do the math

75.00 bucks plus tax pay per view lets just round it to 80 bucks per

that's 57,160,000 in revenue just off the pay per view sales

now add in the gate, lets just saw the gate did 8 mill, that's 65, 160,000 million

mayweather gets his guarantee 32 mil thats like 33,160,000 on the table,

all in one night

would showtime like to make more, sure, but they ain't lose

I don't give a shyt bout who makes money but its always the anti Floyd people who say Floyd's Ppvs have to be over a Milly to be successful..Espinoza says its not the case

Kevin Iole is sticking by his 900k+ number for the PPV...I don't see a reason why he would lie especially with him shytting on Floyd N the all access is fake shyt goin on today

Now Glaser...we know why that nikka would lie

If they only getting 7 percent of the PPV. then mayweather and golden boy probably put up all the money for the event

Floyd even pays his opponent out his pocket, which is what he tried to do with pacquiao when he offered him 40 mil

Cable companies get around 45% of the PPV revenue.

you say 45 percent, the other guy said 7 percent lol

the truth is nobody knows but showtime

that glazer guy just sounds like he's throwing salt, this second fight was more pleasing than eye and went by fast when watching it
fight was way more action pack than the last fight, Maidana threw lots of punches, no wrestling against the ropes
he seems a little upset mayweather dominated, but he was right about not warranting a rematch, but it was the media who created the narrative of maidana almost beating floyd

the Canelo fight did 200 million revenue, I don't even think the pac fight will top that at this point in the game, so unless Keith Thurman can get a big fight with Kell Brook, Amir Kahn or even Maidana somebody like that and when by KO, I don't see them ever doing the may day numbers of the past

For PPVs, I believe it's usually 45% to cable companies, 45% to the promoter and 10% to Showtime/HBO.

Floyd Mayweather made 80 mil the Canelo fight, the ppv numbers were 2.5 mill so that was 200 mill in revenue

so if comcast and all them other companies got 90 million, thats 170 million, leaving 30 mill for HBO and show time

but then you add in the gate, so maybe it does break down like that

but also got to factor in golden boy
