so basically, we shouldn't trust the government to take this on, because there's no motivation or accountability. got itLol didn't read the article huh
The article is all about how almost none of the money allocated for the project made its way into it, and the "housing" provided was abandoned hotels that were not prepared or staffed even slightly adequately
What refutes what I stated? Were some not housed, and ended up either threatening to kill, or killing others or themselves?Lol didn't read the article huh

Atleast skim through what you link
I don't know if they would be able to take it on efficiently or not, but someone pointing to an article they didn't read and then going "you can't help these people" is a bad argumentso basically, we shouldn't trust the government to take this on, because there's no motivation or accountability. got it
Smells like something a cracka would writeHe’s right
S.F. has spent millions to shelter the homeless in run-down hotels. These are the disastrous results
Thousands of people have been left to languish and at times die in hotel rooms overseen by a San Francisco agency that reports to Mayor London Breed. With little oversight or support, these so-called SRO hotels have descended into a pattern of chaos, crime and death — and the city's homelessness...www.sfchronicle.com
They housed them. Folks ended up fighting and killing each other, dying from overdoses or trying to kill the people helping them. These people don’t want help. Just lawlessness
They've been saying shyt like this for, practically the whole existence of the Industrial Revolution and onwards, but we keep acting surprised cause LeBron and Kendrick keep distracting us and making us forget we're ruled by psychos
It doesn't mean anything. Just more talking points for stupid people to feel righteous. There IS a way to end homelessness, but most people wouldn't like it living in 500 sq. ft houses stacked on top of each other.
The bigger issue is that the wealthy aren't paying their due in taxes and that the vast majority of the country's wealth is own by a small percentage of the population
That is a mathematical LIE
America has enough space for quality housing with a backyard for everyone
This is why you're consistently one of the dumbest posters on this site.
The point is you can build housing for all 300+ million Americans if you wanted to - the conditions would just be unlivable for what most Americans are accustomed to. You aren't building full on houses with backyards and swimming pools for everyone.
At least pretend not to be stupid
