They housed them. Folks ended up fighting and killing each other, dying from overdoses or trying to kill the people helping them. These people don’t want help. Just lawlessness

what does "end homelessness for 20 billion" even mean? is there not ongoing, constant maintenance of housing?

the federal government clearly has 20 billion to throw around; i feel like they would have done it
They don't have any assets to trade for that and get something in return, that's what it comes down to. Fighting homelessness is something that has no monetary profit so basically the corporation of the United States can't invest in that

California spent $24 billion over five years to deal with its homelessness problem and it got worse. They had little to no oversight over how the funds were spent. A bunch of grifters with non profits the well while delivering less than 5% of what was expected.
wow, you couldn't make that up :mjlol:

It doesn't mean anything. Just more talking points for stupid people to feel righteous. There IS a way to end homelessness, but most people wouldn't like it living in 500 sq. ft houses stacked on top of each other.

I would agree . If you ever been in a major city anyone who’s homeless is on some type of drug or suffering from mental illness. Even then most aren’t even homeless

I’d say the bigger issue is how much of our tax money goes to propping up these druggies with free housing, food stamps and health care.
The bigger issue is that the wealthy aren't paying their due in taxes and that the vast majority of the country's wealth is own by a small percentage of the population

Yep. A lot of the homeless are ungrateful for the help or just want to get high. The advocates and nonprofits are just in it for the government cash. Only a handful of homeless people are actually helped. :francis:

He is right that they suffer from one or the other a majority of the time. Does that mean they aren't homeless and in need of help though?

Lol didn't read the article huh

The article is all about how almost none of the money allocated for the project made its way into it, and the "housing" provided was abandoned hotels that were not prepared or staffed even slightly adequately

Atleast skim through what you link

Yeah, because there was a ton of fraud and zero oversight. The same problems that plague every program like this.

Any program Kulinski is in favor of would likely have these same problems
