Brought me back to them Classic days, Duke.
It was fantastic!!!
At 30 years of age its hard for me to be entertained when a movie's potential is set so high and there are so many plot holes and ridiculous scenarios that happen all throughout the movie.
It was almost a blatant slap in the face alot of those scenes.
The Biologist that "pets" the alien snake..
The exploding engineer head....
The alien abortion that nobody knew about...
What basis did Noomi have to say they created "us' in the beginning??
Vickers will allow an alien head to brought on the ship, but not a sick scientist?
Idris Elba quick to sacrifice himself and the crew at a moments notice?
But yet all this was convient to you?....
For someone who didnt like the movie Doc you sure a posting in here a lot. We get it you didn't like it..move on already. It ain't that serious you acting like you're owed something due to you not liking the script and that everyone else is less intelligent for actually enjoying the movie for what it was.

I had to go through the five stages of grief with this movie:
Denial: "Yeah, this movie was pretty good and certainly amazing to look at. I can see why people didn't like it, but it was pretty entertaining.
"
Anger: "Wait a minute, this thing didn't make any sense. And these characters' motivations didn't make any sense with the information we were given on them. And characters do things they clearly shouldn't be doing and know things they would have had no way of figuring out.
"
Bargaining: "Okay, I'd say about 75% of this movie was good, and about 25% was bad. But that 25% is REALLY bad, and it sucks because the other 75% is really good.
"
Depression: "But nothing in this movie makes sense or meshes well! And you can't even say that they were setting up a sequel with all these questions because half of them wouldn't be answered anyway because it's gonna have its own questions that need to be answered. And these weren't even questions to set up a sequel--they were just characters acting stupid or plots that don't make any sense. And the theories that people come up with to explain them make even LESS sense and make these unanswered questions look even WORSE.

Are you serious? Most of the bullshyt about it was pointed out in this thread. We know it's sci-fi and you kinda go with it but so much about the movie was a joke.
- idiots playing with an alien snake but would most likely never go near a snake on Earth
- ol' girl having an alien baby then shrugging it off like nothing. Not to mention her running around after the surgery was laughable. I don't give a shyt how much drugs she took, its not possible.
- the crew sacrificing themselves on a whim. wtf
- the entire god vs science theme thats shoved down your throat the whole movie
- the alien squid baby suddenly becoming a gigantic alien squid monster in almost no time at all. again, wtf is this?
- the fact that you have guess what everything is cuz nothing is explained and people try to write thesis papers on the internet to explain the shyt
- writers admitting they were purposely being vague just to make the sequel
