Are you serious? Most of the bullshyt about it was pointed out in this thread. We know it's sci-fi and you kinda go with it but so much about the movie was a joke.

- idiots playing with an alien snake but would most likely never go near a snake on Earth
- ol' girl having an alien baby then shrugging it off like nothing. Not to mention her running around after the surgery was laughable. I don't give a shyt how much drugs she took, its not possible.
- the crew sacrificing themselves on a whim. wtf
- the entire god vs science theme thats shoved down your throat the whole movie
- the alien squid baby suddenly becoming a gigantic alien squid monster in almost no time at all. again, wtf is this?
- the fact that you have guess what everything is cuz nothing is explained and people try to write thesis papers on the internet to explain the shyt

- writers admitting they were purposely being vague just to make the sequel

i guess when you look at it that way the movie was pretty trash

i was high out my mind the first time i saw it so i'll admit the visuals probably carried it for me plus i wasn't really thinking about the plot holes and my mind was filling in the blanks anyway

Like in 82', "Blade Runner" got mixed reviews and misunderstood by fans and critics alike. 30 Years later it's one of the greatest sci fi films of all time. "Prometheus" will take the same route, they will be talking about that film and the theme explored long after Ridley is gone. I enjoyed the film very much. Did it have flaws? Of course but some of the criticism is beyond nitpicking like "Why didn't the ship have guns" SMH, it's a sci-fi film they don't have explain every thing. "Prometheus" was a bold film and went beyond just being a prequel of "Alien" cause Ridley actually took a chance to talk about bolder themes . 30 years it won't even be debatable how dope this movie was. Can't wait for the Sequel, hope they make a Trilogy.
