I'm into the Alien thing, but def not to that level...
If what you say is right, hell they should've done the movie on Weiland Corp...
At least it would explain the stuff I labeled as dumb...
Even you gotta admit, without the background knowledge/insight, those scenes are dumb given the supposed knowledge level and careers of the crew (not necessarily the caesarian)...
Explained in the proper context, you can make sense out of it, but without that, it's dumb...
Preciate the knowledge, handshake...
i guess since this gen and the past gen never really had sci-fi.
you could say this movie is not meant for them.
just like star wars prequels was kinda not meant for the last two gens.
back in the day, when i was a kid.
alien, terminator was like the grown up sci fi flicks.
your mom told you not to watch.
then you snuck and saw them anyway and got the shyt scared out of you.
plus realized you had no friends in outer space.
as even the droid was an evil villain. unlike r2 and three pee-oh.
i still remember the queen showing up the first time vividly.
the get away from her you bytch line.
plus being as scared but learning to be valiant because of newt.
kitty hiss'n at the alien. plus being like one of the only relateable survivors and characters.
the knife exhibition with the droid. [the whole lunch room scenary in prometheus is a lift off of those original lunch room scenes entirely. except this time the crew and weiland corp workers have no idea about social interaction with a droid. as this is like an early mission and the droid. is just learning social human integration. by alien, weiland droids were already hiding amoung the crew like normal humans. unless, it broke kayfabe to establish some social dominance like the one in previous alien flicks. who knew about the double cross already. so he had kinda an ego, and did not give a fukk. so, he swag surfed on the crew, a bit. the droid in aliens was humanized and written with advanced emotion. so he attached to ripley, and made ripley susceptible to let her guard down concerning weiland droids].
the weiland droid is always like the central premise of any alien movie.
which is why in my prometheus rant,..
i say don't trust that punk ass droid.
