houston and baltimore's definitely better. ne is arguable...

manningham was a third WR in NY, ginn is complete ass, kyle williams is a relative non-factor, moss is washed up, and crabs is shaping up a possession receiver..

you are lying to yourself if you wouldnt take andre johnson kevin walter and whoever the fukk is their third wr over our whole WR crew. shiit Id take a healthy andre johnson and two random rookies over this WR crew.
andre is a beast.
baltimore has a great posession wr in boldin and one of the leagues best deep threats if not the biggest threat in torrey.

with that said, its clear that alex isnt progressing on deep throw accuracy at all, and coaching staff seems to ignore it....which is not good at all. teams starting to stack the box against us all day long again. kaeps time might be coming sooner than we thought.

Boldin can't even get separation. If he was here, yall would trash him for that just like yall were doing Crabs.

1 elite receiver does not make your receiving corps "elite". Of course, I'd take AJ, but that doesn't mean the Texans have a better receiving corps than us.

Actually I think we have a top 10 receiving corp. We don't have a true #1 but we have all #2's and that kind of works for our Offense because, when Alex played well so far this season, though he still favored Vernon Davis. He spreaded the ball pretty well. Also, I think Crabtree could still be a solid #1, he's healthy and while he's not a gamebreaker, he could be a Keyshawn Johnson type WR for us, and his size allows him to at least break a CB tackle and get an extra 5 or 6 yds at worst. Keep in mind it's still early in the season and SF is still a work in progress offensively. I like our depth at the position, we quietly have one of the deepest WR corps in the league. Our 1st round pick hasn't seen the field.

It's very difficult to evaluate our receivers in this offense. That said, the talk about us not having good receivers can be put to bed.

didn't they draft him pretty high? Sounds like despite him leading yall to 13 wins and the NFCCG that some still aren't sold.

I think Kaepernick has all the physical tools, his mental tools need developing, I'd rather he sit and learn. I'm ok with Alex for this season and next, after that it depends. But we're taking the Aaron Rodgers approach for Kaep.

unless alex gets injured or completely flops and goes on a losing streak, kaep won't see the field this year. but from what i saw, he's making big strides. he killed it in the preseason and i think he'll challenge for the starting spot next year.

his upside is rediculous.

This is what I was looking for

Those some are fools, there is zero reason to go with Kaep over Alex at this point

Aight, I was asking to see what the plan was for Kaepernick.

I keep hearing that Kaep isn't ready. He probably isn't. But to run this offense, I don't see how he would flounder. We run a very basic offense that asks the QB to go to their primary read and either tuck the ball and run/throw it away if the read is covered.

We run the type of offense a rookie can play in. I don't quite understand the "OMG Kaep isn't mentally ready". I'd agree if it was any other offense, but this offense pretty much takes the thinking away from the QB.

Obviously Alex is the guy and it makes no sense replacing him as long as the team is improving, but if it's still the same hoe hum by the end of this year...then we need to make a move. HarBaalke will make the right decision...

and I never said texans have an elite corps. but its better than ours off the strength of a legit elite top 2-3 WR in the league in andre.

boldin is a great WR who is underutilized in that offense. hes one of the best if not best non-slot possession WR in the league imo.
unlike crabs hes powerful to break tackles, and can use his body to shield away defenders. plus hes always been a great red zone weapon...and he actually has a record track of getting it done with qbs much worse than alex troy smith and so on.
