Alex Smith is really going to go toe to toe with Brady, hmm? He looked so great against Seattle at home too...just imagine how he'll look on the road.

We're not sacrificing anything. Last time I checked we beat the fukking Bears and the Saints. We lost to a team who plays us tough. The sky is not falling. Kaep had an "awful" game and still had close to 300 all purpose yards and no picks with a dropped pass that would have been a TD. The bar for QBing got so high ever since Kaep took the reigns. Why wasn't it this high when Alex was throwing checkdowns on 3rd and long with the game on the line in Minnesota? 4 good games, 4 bad games for Alex...we're hardly sacrificing anything.

Excuses? What is with you and some others wanting the world from a guy who is starting for the first time this year? I clearly said there will be ups and downs and I'm prepared for that.

It's only the loyal Smith dikkriders that be on some

cuz their boy toy is on the bench.

How do you hold a guy who has started 3 games to an 8 year vet? Makes no sense.

So don't give me that excuses bullshyt. I'm in this for the long haul and I knew even last year was a mirage. We needed an improvement at QB and if Kaep is the guy, I can deal with the growing pains as long as he's giving us a shot at winning. Say what you want but he gave us a few chances to win the game today. That's all I ask for.

a discouraging loss but i saw some positives

kaep made some great throws but some mental mistakes as well

at this point stay with kaep, im finally convinced he can take this team further then alex

at some point the qb will have to win a playoff game, i think kaep is better suited for that job. remember the giants game, the giants taunted alex and forced him to throw over 20 yards which he couldnt, i fear that happening again

It's not about being a "Alex Smith fan" or a "Kaepnaick fan"...if the system wasn't really broken in the first place...WHY FIX IT NOW?

And I'm not comparing him to Montana or Steve Young....Smith's performance LAST YEAR made me him just based off what he did....he made CLUTCH plays and CLUTCH throws..and the receivers made the CLUTCH catches...

He was doing what he was SUPPOSE to do...I mean seriously...Niner fans don't appreciate shyt.."Yeah he had a good season and all, but Harbaugh could have did that with any QB..Alex Smith is just garbage"....

Or "ANybody could have made that run Smith did in the playoffs...he still sucks"

Also some people talking about winning playoff games, Alex did that last year with Brett Swain KW Crabtree and Ginn as his receivers.

so save any playoff talk or this fantasy predicting of Kaeps possible playoff potential, he's regressed each game, that's a fact.
