i feel better about dixon now than i did before tho. when he hitting the hole fast he's a decent insurance RB to have.

i just hope harbs uses him and jacobs enough to not wear frank out.

Yeah, he looked improved in the pre-season too.

I think Kaep definitely has the job now, the more dynamic QB is going to be needed with Hunter out and not being able to lean on the run game like we did in the past.

So yall think dixon will get the remaining carries over jacobs? I'd rather see my mans jacobs be unleashed but they both had the same problem and that was trying to run like small guys instead of pounding the ball. Jacobs was a beast at auburn but he was hungrier then, that's why he ran like a true monster.

Yeah. It's gonna be interesting to see what his number next year looks like. The Niners had the least amount of cap space in the league going into next year.

Jacobs has never been a speed guy. He had 2 runs on Sunday, both for positive yardage. He's there for insurance/short yardage, which I have no problem with. He looked good in preseason, so I expect him to get maybe 5-7 carries a game. If he gives us anything at all, it's a positive.

Ive watched jacobs play for a long time, and this is the slowest hes looked. dude looked like he was running in slow mo

again, I dont understand this logic. theyll have someone replacing hunter in the same sets. its not like theres a set of run yards they need to get no matter what and kaep will somehow cover the deficiency.

if theres anything harbaugh taught us is that he grooms players under the incumbents. jacobs/lmj/jewell will be used similar to hunter. dont really see how this has anything to do with kaep or affects harbs decision about starting qb at all.
