Yeah, I`m not so sure LMJ cracks the roster that fast, I think there is more trust in BJ and Dixon.Dam that sucks for Hunter ..it's next man up if LMJ gets his spot ball security will be a concern with him but he has the same quickness as KH but not as tough. AJJ should be able to step in for KW without a hiccup
Yeah but that could only be for depth alone, so low on the ladder.
I`d love to see them work in some out the back field stuff for LMJ now, try and get him the ball in space.
Running back Kendall Hunter is expected to be out for the remainder season with an ankle injury he sustained in the third quarter of the 49ers' victory Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
The 49ers have yet to reveal the extent of Hunter's injury, but USA Today, citing a person informed of the prognosis for Hunter, reported that it is a season-ending injury.
That likely means the 49ers will activate undrafted rookie Jewel Hampton to the 53-man roster.
The 49ers had to make a roster move with Hampton, who was at the end of his three-week window after coming off the team's reserve/non-football injury list. He underwent offseason surgery to remove bone spurs from his left foot. Hampton is expected to add depth at running back, as well as be available to help on special teams.
@mattbarrows: Looks like the 49ers are trying out some kickers today. ... Also new practice squander Chad Hall is in the building.
not sure how hunters injury means we need kaep to run more....its totally different. we losing two back sets and those hard yards from hunter to spell frankie
jacobs looked slow as hell sunday

I would rather have Anthony Dixon over Jacobs. He looks like he got some of that POW back in him.
Jacobs has never been a speed guy. He had 2 runs on Sunday, both for positive yardage. He's there for insurance/short yardage, which I have no problem with. He looked good in preseason, so I expect him to get maybe 5-7 carries a game. If he gives us anything at all, it's a positive.
