You see Kaep as the OBVIOUS QB of the future. WHY? That's stan shyt for a backup who has accomplished nothing so far.
hows that stan shyt ? hes the potential qb of the future if we have one on our roster. neither alex or tolzien fit the bill of being qbs of the future.

To say he is the potential QB of the future is one thing, B90X is saying he is the very obvious QB of the near future.

Why wouldn't Alex fit the bill of QB of the future, he's 28 and he's top 3 in the league in QB rating and and last year he was 9th. He is obviously improved in this system, why couldn't he fit the bill of QB of the future?

Really he is hitting his athletic peak of his late 20's early 30's

I think you are dogging the guy when you basically got him out the door in the near future.

How is my support outrageous, he's held lead the resurgence of this team and he's in the top 10 in QB rating for the second year in a row.

It's not like anyone else is gonna fail, it's the sheer fact Kaepernick has not shown me why he would succeed. If he beat the Rams with his arm i`d be more optimistic, but it was more "play breaking down and time scramble because I can't find the WR" shyt that he succeeded at on Sunday.

Kaep's style of play, at this point, would not lead to success. It would lead to initial good results, then teams would gameplan for his running style and it would be shut down. It happens almost every year with these running QB's, history tells you that's not the formula for success.

I could tell from your first posts where you were going, it was transparent. And it's cool, you have a thing for Kaepernick and that's fine for you to favor him, just be out in the open from the jump.

Short of a superbowl win, Alex will be out of the door within the next 2-3 years. There's a reason the Niners offered him that type of contract. I'm not dogging Alex Smith, I'm just stating the facts.
I'm saying your support is getting outrageous because you're throwing facts aside and basically just talking from an Alex supporters point of view and failing to grasp the bigger, whole picture.
Kaep was 11 - 17 for 177 yards on Sunday. No throwing touchdowns, no turnovers. How is that, "play breaking down and time scramble because I can't find the WR" shyt? You act like he had a Mark Sanchez type game. His being able to scramble is an added bonus. I don't get why you think it's a negative. Like I said, it's about moving the ball forward and getting first downs. Whether it's by qb scramble, run, or pass, it doesn't matter. As long as you move the chains and put points on the board.
Also, how are you going to say his style wouldn't lead to success? You've never even seen how he plays as a starter in the NFL. Nobody has. You're basing your assumptions off of what?
Like I said, if Alex plays, I'm confident that he will go out there and be his usual self and get the win, but if Kaep plays, I'm just as confident that he can make plays and put points on the board based off of what he did this last game.

Fans at the Stick dont like Alex :manny:

not saying i agree

That's good to know, fans at the stick have been embarrassing for the better part of a decade. I remember numerous times over teams taking over our stadium, fukking Dallas fans owning us and being loud as fukk whenever they did something positive for a game not too long back.

I don't place a lot of legitimacy to those fans for the most part anyway, when I went out there last year I saw me 4-5 people in 49ers gear before Sunday.

The backup QB is always the most popular guy in town

Breh, I don't care if you read it or not.
I'm stating facts, you're talking out the side of your neck. It is what it is. Your view is Alex will be the qb for the next 7 - 10 years of the Niners. My view is that he'll be gone within the next 3. We'll see who's right soon enough.

I`m not even trying to get at you, but seriously break that shyt up. Just makes your posts more clear.

My view isn't at all that Alex will be here for 7-10 years, my view is why act like Kaepernick will be? If Alex is gone in 2-3 years, it's not sweat off my back, I just don't get this anointing of Kaepernick. He has proven NOTHING at this point besides the fact that he can scramble, Troy smith could do that too.

You seem to WANT Alex gone though.

and kaep caught the rams by suprise, they weren't prepared to gameplan for a qb that can run.

Alex is all we have tho right now! We gotta ride it out with the kid. Hopefully he's cool by nxt Monday when the bears come thru. Kaepernick is NOT the answer

Yeah and even with catching them by surprise he still didn't play great.

He scrambled well and made a handfull of good passes, that is the story on Kaepernicks day.

He also fumbled a snap, held the ball forever and got sacked and while struggling to find receivers.

He did OK.

Please show me where I said or even insinuated that I wanted Alex gone. All I said was based off of the contract he was offered, the writing is on the wall for Kaep to take over at any point in time within the next 3 years. Whenever management feels that Alex isn't going to give the team anything extra/get them over the hump, they'll yank him and put in Kaep.
I don't see why that's so hard to believe. It happens every year in the league. We're no different.

Also, nobody is anointing Kaep...once again, all I said was I think Kaep will be just fine if he has to start on Monday night. He'll get the extra reps practice, they'll have a specific game plan for him to follow, and they'll make sure to help him.
What Sunday showed is that he has the talent and ability to lead the team and put points on the board, even when faced in a less than desirable situation.

and kaep caught the rams by suprise, they weren't prepared to gameplan for a qb that can run.

I can kind of see that, but then again, he came in before halftime and the Rams knew Alex wasn't coming back into the game, so they could've made adjustments at halftime. The "caught the rams by surprise" excuse doesn't really fly if the backup comes in before halftime and plays the rest of the game.

Kaep definitely isn't the answer right now, and i`m not blown away by what he shows me to make me think we should ditch Alex for him any time soon.

Alex is 28 and improving under Harbaugh, to anoint Kaep as the QB of the future just doesn't seem like a logical conclusion at this point.

Remember we drafted him before Alex had the season he had in 2011.

See but that isn't all you said, so don't act like it is.

You're saying that Kaep is the QB of the future, which to me isn't a foregone conclusion. It's a matter of you selling the current QB short.

Either way, I don't think Kaep would be "just fine" against the Bears defense, the corners would read him like a book and they`d pray on his passes.

Have we been watching the same team? What makes you think that the Niners would all of a sudden become conventional in the passing game? Give the coaching staff some credit. If Kaep has to go, they'll do what they have to do to protect him from having to take a 5 step drop, read the defense, and the fire the ball down the field.
