If folding shirts ain’t a real job, then why are department stores crying about no one applying to do it? :jbhmm:

You really think a T shirt folding job should pay all the bills, pay for the kid's college, and be retirement?:dwillhuh:

No it's not a real job. It's not a career. For an adult it's pathetic, low, and uninspiring.

Some of the attitude in this thread versus any old tipping thread is hilarious.

Awe....so you do understand.

Make the necessary adjustments an move accordingly
Trust me I understand more than you.

You will support all actions of businesses suppressing wages, but will condemn to hell the workers trying to increase it.

It's you that needs to make an adjustment.

You definitely agree with it. I bet you still have daydreams of you and Bill Gates having brunch together.

And no it can change without increasing skillset. It's collective bargaining. You only respect Bargaining when it works one way and not the other.

I've done audits for some grocery stores and read the union manual.

Those guys have been getting paid. I remember looking at a vacation accrual and union workers had 300+ hours of PTO which they can all roll over each year while non union workers could only roll over 80. There's also a bunch of benefits they get that non-union workers don't.

Yet the pundits in management would have you believe that unions are the worst thing in existence and immediately put all efforts into shutting down union talk. It's amazing the psychology used to influence and intimidate people from forming unions.

Your not in reality....low skill work will never be paid top dollars, wages hasn't gone up to a over influx of immigrants that work for less there was no need to increase wages when "bodies" are in great surplus. Now that you see a shortage of worker wages are going...soon as that employment rates start to exceed demand you'll see wages stall again...this is just a bait in switch tactic.
except of course for CEOs, which you seem fine with.

The decline in wages coincided with a decline in workers rights.

Like I said, you have no idea what’s happened to the American worker but you do applaud the CEOs and owners whose pay has increased. (Hint, that’s one of the places where wages have gone)

You the type of dude that would rather sit down and have dinner with Warren Buffet over $50,000 in cash. :heh:
