except of course for CEOs, which you seem fine with.

The decline in wages coincided with a decline in workers rights.

Like I said, you have no idea what’s happened to the American worker but you do applaud the CEOs and owners whose pay has increased. (Hint, that’s one of the places where wages have gone)

You the type of dude that would rather sit down and have dinner with Warren Buffet over $50,000 in cash. :heh:

Sorry for you however I know how to make my own which requires a sit-down with no one..if anything they should pay to sit with me.

There will alway be low wage jobs, that will never change, please quote where I applaud anything corporate:jbhmm:

You wont find it, cause your making it up. This is a fight not worth fighting, I would rather acquire a skill in demand and negotiate for what I deserve. I don't do whining....I do winning.

Whatever the market is, I'll adapt likewise but this low skill shyt is for the birds.

To take it further, it's bizarre how some people argue about retail and fast food being for teenagers and don't need to pay a living wage but restaurants can get away with paying people poverty wages with societal pressure having patrons supplement the workers wages with tips regardless of the employee's performance. American culture around work is extremely strange.

America is the only place that tips, cut off the tips an pay higher wages

. However, you all think grown folks should get paid $20/hr to fold clothes.

See.... nobody really said that... and retail is more than just folding clothes unless some things have changed... you still have to provide customer service..... it’s really hard to have a genuine discussion on here nowadays....

That's unfortunately a Socialist viewpoint, can't rock with that. There isn't anything elite about a construction worker making a living and supporting a comfortable lifestyle, or an RN, or a CPA, all those paths require in-demand skills. Many employ Black folks heartily.

We should be aiming higher, not at the bottom.

Retail had 50 year to raise wages, they aren't, so move out the field, plain and simple.....

Then America was a "socialist" country all the way up to the 1960s. Coincidentally black people were largely kept out of mainstream economics back then. As soon as black people started to gain political and economic clout, the economy started transitioning from a bottom up standard to a top down/ "trickle" down standard.

Just like with the New Deal laws passed in 1930s. White America had no problem with what they would consider socialist handouts today. The majority of white america voted for liberal politics back then. It wasn't until black people started benefitting off of those same liberal policies decades later that all of a sudden the majority of white america became conservatives and supported the bullshyt mentality that you're on.

The minimum wage should absolutely allow someone to pay their rent and keep clothes on their back and food in their fridge at the bare minimum without having to rely on government assistance. That's not socialism. That's just basic humanity in a country that considers itself the "greatest in the world"

The Brainwashing over the past 2 or 3 generations is nothing short of incredible. They got people fighting against their own best interest.

In some union jobs, you get night-shift premiums added to your pay, but let these fools tell you "naw, there's no money, you need skills, it can't be done."

Cats are Ridiculous. :mjlol:

Its ludicrous. We see mega corporations cutting benefits, cutting wages, lowering hours for workers, but then tell you if a union is formed wages and benefits will be cut and life would be harder for the employee:dwillhuh:

Look at all the jobs that still have unions: Teaching, firefighting, police, grocery stores, etc. Have people researched the benefit packages these union people get? People act like they'll be worse off having people represent their best interest because they let propaganda influence them:gucci:

these dudes dont stand a chance in this world. With their logics, Business founders start business to help people and not make as much money as humanly possible.
:mjlol:

Dudes have this laundry list of moral issues with the current system, but dont have the nuts to say they do not want the current system to exist anymore because they know they will lose all of the benefits they enjoy from it. With Globalization there is someone in some 3rd world village hungry as we speak that would do anything to live in an American housing project and have access to public schools and free lunch.

IT takes brain smarts and commitment. There's nothing wrong with doing IT to pay all the bills. However, you all think grown folks should get paid $20/hr to fold clothes.

Quote me where I said that. Lets keep this thread a buck. No need to put words in anyones mouths.

Yea they lost for that.....dont want to compete

Why does everything have to be a competition? Why cant a family just work their 40 hours a week, and be able to pay for a place to live and food to eat?

America is the only place that tips, cut off the tips an pay higher wages

That'll NEVER happen. Ever. The service industry will disappear in a flash. Not to mention, the establishments will never pay the salary. Ever.

Ever.

Thats False.

Greedy CEO's and conservative/"trickle" down policies determines the wage. "skills" is just a cover for that.

CEOs aren't Greedy, they are operating in a manner the system allows. Is the system 'inherently' greedy? sure but the concept of morality is a subjective one. Unless you want to dismember the current system we exist in, anything else in mental masturbation.

A lot of people are lazy, why do y'all continue to ignore this? Grown adults should not be working retail or fast food unless they trying to get on they feet.
