I wrote this in the "Work From Home" Thread. Instead of a new response, I just posted my original comment. I wrote that before this story broke. I knew this was coming a mile away. Only greedy Corporations and their Media Hacks didn't see this coming. The entire economy is in for a rude awakening. They've been lying to the working people of this country for decades. Don't listen to them about "Inflation". Prices have been going up for decades and wages have not. Their lies are over. Those "Common Folk" are now "Woke". America's Nightmare is here. A Workforce that knows their value. Plus another story just broke. Black Americans suffered the MOST CAR ACCIDENTS During the Pandemic because we couldn't "Work From Home" as much as other races.

Traffic deaths increased among Black people more than any other race during pandemic: Study

Black America Wake Up. They do not care about our lives. Get the best Salary possible, Work From Home if possible. MILK ALL THE BENEFITS DRY.

You believe that bullshyt traffic death story?

There was a time when hotdogs cost a nickle but that time is gone
Those jobs will never go back to that, it would drive the prices through the roof and we will back to wear we started from
That's right ya'll. Hotdog prices will go through the roof. Can't pay people anymore then what they are getting. We can't afford it.

Black Americans have gotten the short end of the stick during this entire crisis so Yes I wouldn't be shocked if our traffic fatalities went up just like our unemployment went up just like our wealth decreased as well. They already did studies showing Black Americans had the least "Work from Home" along with Latinos where as Asians and Whites had the most WFH jobs. The facts are clear when America is in crisis Blacks will bear the brunt and all statistics shows we have. The only reason these White Governors are cutting the 300 is because Black Americans have the highest unemployment in the country (Especially Black men) therefor cutting those funds hurt Black America more than any other group. That's why it's being done.

You can move up in Wendy's. Like I said prior, a lot of these folks don't try and don't care to try. I worked at Walmart for 3 years, it's been 3 years since I left. I see the same folks there pushing carts, working in electronics, working the warehouse, etc.

These are jobs for teens, 20 year olds, and retired folks, nothing more.

That is what I'm saying, it is a hard limit and earnings ceiling to this type of work. I worked customer service and moving jobs to fill gaps where my Financial Aid couldn't cover my tuition (summers/winters). A stop gap to pay for some necessities like books, etc. Even going ham and hitting over 70 hours in OT got half that shyt gobbled in taxes.

Kept my ass in line academically since I knew those jobs would be my future if I dropped out...

What does wage stagnation have to do with grown adults not moving on to other jobs? These same people I knew 6 years ago still pushing carts. What does that tell you? And they own cars.

You're not supposed to be paid $20/hr for pushing carts, folding clothes, or sweeping the store.
Why do you care so much that they are still working in the same capacity as they did years ago? Why does that matter? Everyone does not have the same "drive" to advance or do something else. The problem is wages are far behind where they should be, for most workers. No one is saying a cashier at Target should be making 100k but they should be making more than they do. We need to stop acting as if we are the ones writing these worker's paychecks and look at our own to see where we are being screwed.

There are far more white people on well fare then black people. An there are more unemployed, out % so higher cause were a smaller pop

what does the above have to do with operating a vehicle? Schools were closed and traffic wasn't an issue. Stop making excuses for stupid drivers.

Is there human error? Sure but as I said in my "WFH" post. Lives were saved by people not having to commute anymore and work from home. So If Blacks and Latinos are the least to work from home then they will be commuting more than other groups. Logically yeah traffic fatalities would rise. I used this story because I feel people minimize the dangers of commuting. It can be a life or death situation to get to work and people don't act like it is. Workers should be been being paid for commute times.

It matters what they're doing because it shows that some folks are lazy with no motivation. Y'all think everybody is poor because of the jobs, when it's the individual who don't do anything to better themselves.

Y'all expect simple tasks like pushing carts to pay $20/hr. It doesn't work that way

Just because they are not advancing on a upward path within that company doesn’t mean that they don’t work hard or give an honest days work. I think people are saying that employers should pay wages that can provide some of the bare necessities to live.

What you are referring may deal with motivation or not knowing what your purpose is, not avoiding putting in hard work..... imo

Nah, they ain't working hard. Last I heard folding T shirts requires minimum effort. I've ran into my fair share of lazy folks in retail. Hell my dad works at a warehouse and a lot of them folks are lazy as fukk.

Anybody that works hard ain't staying in retail any damn way:dwillhuh:

So you're implying blacks and latinos are stupid drivers.. Also, did you take into account carjackings went up 100+% in a lot of cities.?. Most of them by teens..

You can believe what you like. Im just saying the story is B.S.

Yeah bro, you have no idea what’s happened to the American worker. You can’t context it at all. The minimum wage hasn’t gone up since 1970, when factoring inflation. You aren’t aware of what’s going on and for some reason side with CEOs over workers.

You doofuses are really eating this American Dream candy up, lol.

Give me an example of working hard? Or a job that requires “hard” work? Also, have you ever dug graves?
