I knew this day was coming it’s like X had a terminal illness battling substance abuse with his troubled childhood and the people around him not helping by introducing him to drugs.

as I said before X got me into Hiphop and I’m sad I never saw him live but I’m happy I was able to enjoy his music whilst he was alive

Unlike Pac and Big because although I was alive I wasn’t really old enough to understand hip hop nor did we have someone in my household to introduce it to me. I feel like X foresaw his death with the video Slippin it’s like Eminem’s toy soldiers foreshadowing Proof’s death it will be hard to watch the video for some time without shedding tears.

When Bout shyt dropped I had hope

Doom’s death made me go back and listen to X it’s like I saw it coming

I haven't said too much about this, but once they said he had no brain activity I started to prepare myself for his passing. Once I did that I've been playing his music to honor him. Definitely left an impact on me with his raw energy and sometimes dark lyrics. I was always prone to listen to that type of music. One of my favorite artist, rest in peace, DMX.
