Playing through New Game Profesional right now, just beat the Village. So far the hardest parts

First thing first RE4 remake is a dope ass game. And RE4 original is in such a unique situation. Because you can play it on almost every console. But also you can download the RE4 HD Project. Which is the best way to experience the original game. With that being said, I agree with the video. The atmosphere, sound design, ost, tone, Ashley gameplay wise, and hit feedback. Is better in the OG in my opinion. But like I said the remake is still a dope game.The remake is superior to the original in every significant way, objectively.

In the original Leon is more of an anime superhero. Everything is well lit and even the characters are easy going despite the situation they are in. In this one it’s lit like a survival horror and the characters are desperate. Luis and Ashley are stressed the fukk out and Leon is ptsd riddled government killer. It’s definitely more grounded. Not saying one is better than the other but it’s clear we aren’t going to build to Chris punching boulders from this.
Chris punching boulders are canon. it was referenced to in RE8.
It was referenced, but I wouldn't be surprised that the remake timeline and reboot time line are the same. I would expect the OG timeline to end at RE6..
The timeline is iffy right now. RE Dead Island is cannon. And that takes place after the OG RE6. But it has remake Jill, OG Leon, OG Chris, OG Rebecca, and OG Claire.
