When I first came here there were mixtapes, rap battles, gaming leagues, movie clubs etc.
A lot of that has been damaged by the lack of moderation, shyt legit kills communities IMO.

We could have had more traffic but registration was closed and the site was essentially abandoned while the owner was going through some personal issues. There was only one mod who could actually ban people. I think Hex finally broke it down saying they couldn’t so shyt until Brook came back active again.
Remember how the board used to get routine updates in the beginning then it stopped for years. shyt was broken and not getting fixed and posters were talking about leaving again, then someone found Brook and he promised to make some updates.

Honestly, I just mean site wide.
Like we could've had a cool little online community but there are so many
bad apples/actors who would make it difficult for people to participate.
Trolls.
People trying to Dox people.
People who are legitimately fukked up with the misogyny, anti-blackness etc.
Those things would have to be curtailed/stomped out completely before any
form of community could return to The Coli.
Because where we were before with the rap battles, mixtapes, album discussions etc.
to where we're at now with a handful of posters basically running certain subs
and shyt posting everyday is a far cry from where we used to be and where we could've
been.
