It’s not that at all. They have essentially thrown the concerns of all other groups to the wind to cater to one extremely vocal minority. I don’t think it’s even possible to be both lgbtq and wrong at the same time over there. You can’t tell an LGBTQ person shyt without having “listen to oppressed minorities” shouted at you as well as a ban. You have to listen to them but they don’t have to listen to you even though last time I checked being black is in the minority as well.
You could take away all the extreme heavy handedness regarding trans issues away and the place would still be over moderated to hell. I feel much more comfortable having legit conversations here on just about any topic knowing I won’t be banned for “ blah blah blah in a sensitive topic”. Like you can’t even discuss why you disagree with someone, you just get banned because someone higher up on the minority hierarchy can’t handle the discussion.
You can see post after post of people chiming in with one word posts, phrases, pictures, etc……but once YOU get on the naughty list if you do that they can ban you at any time for “drive by posting”.
One key difference between this forum and that one is here if i log in and see I have 30 notifications, without even checking them I know I posted something people like. I’m excited to see what’s going on. On Resetera if you wake up to 5 notifications it means someone doesn’t like what you said and you about to get banned. I saw some absurd shyt where one guy was getting quoted to hell and they banned him for not responding to all the posts. Then in another topic someone was banned because they did try to respond to all the quotes, saying he was spamming the board. WTF!
It’s a forum where people are constantly looking for something to get offended by. The forum thrives on negativity and always looking to prove your purity and “progressiveness” over everyone else. The people here may shyt talk each other constantly but it’s not a negative forum, there is a difference.
