That's not how food insecurity works.
Americans have some pretty unhealthy lifestyles for sure.
yeah the obesity epidemic is a bit more complex than that, but the typical "American Diet" is pretty bad...
Not sure what, you mean?
I agree with it, and I would love to hear a valid argument against it, that didn't rely on emotion.

Yeah I guess it was slightly off topic. I just came across this video earlier today. I saw minimum wage being thrown around, and wonder which camp supports this stance(conservative or liberal cats).

Can't say I'm against that line of thinking...

It's amazing how detached people are from reality. Can't wait for this country's financial system to implode. :blessed::ahh: You're going to be in the food lines with the common rabble. :umad:

:wtf:
And what service exactly are these welfare recipients providing that I should be ok with paying for?

Um, they work maybe? :dahell: Not everyone is "living it up" in unsanitary, violent, overcrowded housing projects/Section 8 apartment homes. Some are working grueling, low paying jobs and without assistance still can't put food on the table. Hell, even WITH assistance they are still struggling. In Pennsylvania some members of the legislature, in a bid to prove their food assistance program was sufficient, claimed they could live off the stipend provided to those in need. After a week they realized they couldn't do it. They calculated that the money doled out averages THREE fukkING DOLLARS PER DAY. Who the fukk is living good off that?

:ohhh:

My whole outlook has now changed due to what I'm sure is a well researched and peer reviewed meme. Whatever was I thinking?

... I'm saying raising the min wage, taxes, or handout amount will not fix this.
I'm also asserting that it will make things worse.
How bad some people have it is very real, and not in question.

That said, I don't agree with the redistribution of wealth... Especially since it wasn't "distributed" to begin with, and morally wrong IMHO.
