I wanna add one thing;

If I'm at a club and another man bumps me and steps on my shoes and says " out the way nikka." The expectation is that I compose myself and escalate the situation. Not curse him out, not punch him, not shoot him.

But, if a fukking child disrespects me--a 30 year old man--it is almost a DEMAND from my fellow adult to react violently.



Again, every body around me got whoopings. That don't make rational.

If your feelings can't take a child disrespecting you--again, I'm not saying excuse or reward or even ignore the behavior--that speaks to your ego and lack of control in other aspects of your life.

You call yourself a lawyer but display zero nuance. To compare domestic violence (which is never justified or acceptable) to a parent discipling their child for wrongdoing is just...wow. If you cant see the difference between physically striking a grown adult out of frustration and striking a child as a remedial measure, might not be the field for you to keep it a buck.

Whooping me didn’t change shyt, I knew stealing was wrong before and after that incident. What changed my behavior was having more to lose than the value of the items I’d steal. Plenty of behavior a whoopin ain’t changing

Please have some respect. Do not speak about my parents. You do not know them and you are out of line commenting on anyone's parents. My parents are not here to defend themselves and from where I am sitting they did not do anything wrong. Please have some respect. I'm the child of African immigrants. In my initial post, I commented on how immigrant parents from Africa and Asia are far more likely to discipline their children in a similar manner. Statistics show that these groups are among the highest achievers, educationally, socioeconomically and from the standpoint of creating strong nuclear family units with both parents in the household.
