I don't think they could mess up this movie if they tried.
i don't think any of these movies will "flop"
flop would mean breaking dead even or doing less than.... with international sales and dvd/bluray sales... hardly any movie really flops
but what wb/dc wants is what marvel has. they want to be able to drop the shyttiest of characters, that nobody cares about, and still come out doing 500 mil when it's said and done
then when they put the A listers together, do a billy or damn near that
what they definitely do not want... is their top tier characters doing 600 mil.... cause where do you go up from there? lets say bvs gets terrible reviews and fans hate it/are disappointed and it does 700 mil.. well what's the next step.. you already used up BOTH your most popular characters and didn't even crack a billion.. what you think you gonna drop 2-3 more lower movies and then put it all together and reach that??
and this isn't in some bubble... nah.... while you're doing your subpar numbers... your direct rival is out here breaking record upon record... and about to unleash civil war and infinity war 1 & 2, right along side whatever else you got coming
that's what these execs are worried about.... i don't think anyone is scared they will flop and do 200 mil or something.... they are afraid by this time next year... the fans will be whenever they see a DC logo at the beginning of a trailor... remember this is supposed to match marvel's 10-15-20 year movie plan
this is why stan lee said dc had a lot of catching up to do and dc tried to skip the damn near 10 years of work being laid down for Infinity War
i think it's more that DC didn't base these movies on ANY of what you just brought upThat same theory was once said for Marvel when they had the animated DVDs on lock before DC came in 2007 and ran them out of there a couple of years later. Even on TV, DC owns it with Arrow, Flash, and even Legends of Tomorrow.
I can see that when DC gets a hold of things, and start to put epic sagas together like the multiverse on the big screen, is when people will see the potential of DC being unleashed.
People can forgive Marvel for making films like Ironman 2 and 3 and the Thor series and Antman and the second Avengers film, simply cause of Marvel. DC doesn't have the luxury of that because people still stuck in the 90s mentality that DC is corny and Marvel is edgy.
i need to see this happen brehsIf they can't get RDJ to come to Hell's Kitchen, they not gonna bring in Charlie Sheen as IM.
interesting article from latino review. my bad if its already been posted.
The LR Scoop On The Apparent Turmoil At DC FILMS Over BATMAN V SUPERMAN
I've always said I'm not sure how a 13 y/o sits down with the Nolan trilogy and enjoys it.
Avengers 2 barely got it right and they only introduced bout 4 new main characters. This one has like 7 or 8
because you idiot... it's marvelAge of Ultron is "getting it right"? The movie was very average, polarizing at best and Jurassic World and Fast 7 made more money than it. People talk about all this shyt about laying the groundwork and you got dinosaurs and Dom and Brian doing more then they did.. All that "groundwork" shyt doesn't mean anything if the films are starting to become filler and that's what Age of Ultron was. Filler.
Also, they are not introducing 7-8 characters in this. Batman and Superman will take up 90% of the film. Wonder Woman is a cameo.
People like @The Devil's Advocate bringing Deadpool into this discussion, what does Deadpool have to do with how Disney has handled their properties? Deadpool is a FOX property. The same FOX that I'm sure you and others in here (because I've read the comments) has said time and time again should sell the rights back to Disney for all X-Men related characters..
Really? You think FOX is going to be selling off Deadpool anytime soon?
When I was 13 I was watching shyt a hell of a lot more complicated then the Nolan trilogy but I understand most 13-year olds are stupid and soft now. The times we live in
Sony made a deal with Disney to co-produce Spider-Man movies moving forward because they didn't like where their Spider-Man series was headed. It topped out at $700M which doesn't sound bad but they expected a lot more out of it and it also had bad worth of mouth and bad reviews.
Deadpool has great reviews and just made $150M over the holiday weekend off a movie with a very moderate budget. Why would FOX even entertain the idea? Why are you continuously trying to lump in FOX movie properties with Disney's movie properties? It doesn't matter that Deadpool is a Marvel character within the Marvel comics universe because Disney is making no money off his movies and they are also trying to streamline their movie universe with their comic universe which means eventually Deadpool will be placed on the backburner just as the X-Men have been..
exactly... it's not like i'm stanning for marvel... they make shyt movies too... out of the 20... about 5 were good/greatI always said that Marvel insults their viewers low key by conditioning them not to strive to be better. Dumbing down their dialogue and storylines to make the most $ is what they bank on.
Dumbing down?!I always said that Marvel insults their viewers low key by conditioning them not to strive to be better. Dumbing down their dialogue and storylines to make the most $ is what they bank on.
Dumbing down?!
These are fukkin COMIC BOOK MOVIES!!
shyts aint sposed to be Citizen Kane
Let them throw in some of what Storm would go through just being BLACK in some of them early X-Men comics
See how AmeriKKKa would like that shyt :hahapaul:
