I don't know how people are comparing Cap America to Superman. Captain America is an underdog story at its core. Superman is a literal Alien with God like powers. Which character you think is going to be more relatable to the public :heh:

Anybody can be written to be relatable,or a underdog, all these characters that have all these great powers, yet people can still relate....Is Magneto not a underdog that some people root for just because technically he's powerful enough to destroy the whole world? He's a villain who wants to kill humans and people still feel em:banderas:.

Captain America might be a underdog, but his goody too shoes,"perfect soldier" who doesn't have a bad bone in his body story line? Not really all that relatable to the average piece of shyt person,or person who is at least tempted to do fukked up things....That's where the comparsion is with superman.

I just think you are right in the fact Captain America was written to have a struggle in his movies and the actor did a good job....Superman was written to have no struggle once he became Superman, and they definitely had plenty of oppurtunities to make him a underdog in that MOS movie, and make him probably more relatable than Cap.

Its ridiculous to say you have to be a human or people cant relate, yall gotta quit with that copout and just admit the shortcomings in the writing of superman....Cap was written for these times and works,Sup writers just stunk up the place.

Maaan Benji the dog and Simba was relatable, but superman cant be:childplease:?if what your saying is true he would be a failure on every platform....But guess what?its only these last two Superman movies getting all the hate:sas1:....you could say its unrelatable shyt about almost every comic character on the big screen, ironman aint relatable because he's a billionaire.

Hawkeye standalone coming soon yall, giving the people what they want:troll:

They actually have a point. Whether the complex story is executed properly is another discussion.

But to be concerned because they decided to make the story a little more complex and edgy compared to the watered down Disney trash that marvel is pumping is completely valid.

Remember when RDJ was shytting on The Dark Knight because of the complex story? Marvel wasn't as prevalent as they are now.
DCEU all been trash so far...we're still waiting on a good film from them. all these edgy and complex but cant get the comicbook movie down pat

One movie can't be judged. If by any chance Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad flops and or bad movies, then you have a point. If they do succeed by quality and financially, the Marvel will have competition.

Remember, the same situation happened back in the animated DVD back in the mid 00s. Marvel got the Ultimate Avengers on deck, but DC came through later and kicked them out on what they started.

I can see it happening to Marvel in a lesser extent when DC gets their foot in the game.

And I would think they would be more worried about Suicide Squad flopping wouldn't they?Seems like they leading up to a Batman showdown with the Joker in his standalone movie....SO its a lot riding on people liking this version of the Joker too I would think? They already kindve ruined it by unveiling him in this Suicide Squad movie in the first place...A new Batman standalone with Ben Affleck vs a new unseen Joker who's following up Heath Ledger, probaly would've been just as much hype over that as their is Batman vs Superman:wow:

But I guess they was going for the jugular with this BVS shyt:whoo:....THey might regret not breaking these movies up a little though, maybe could've introduced just one of the other Justice Leage characters in Superman 2....Had the standalone Batman film with a new joker, than if people liked the Joker you have him sell the Suicide Squad movie,or if he sucks you have a chance to use a different Joker.....But then again maybe the unseen Joker needed to be used to sell Suicide Squad more than a standalone Batman....hopefully the new Joker is good

Is there some other batman movie I don't know about after Nolan's? BoS just gonna start with batman already established in the DC universe?

Is there some wonder woman movie I am not aware of? BOS just gonna start with wonder woman already an established in the DC universe?

:what:

A lot of this movie is inspired by The Dark Knight Returns. It's not something just out of thin air. And yes, Wonder Woman is already established in the movie as well because she has her own movie where they'll dig into her backstory. It hasn't been "rushed" at all, this has been their plan all along to bounce back and forth between past and present. Whether it will work, who knows.

Keep in mind this story about Warner being worried was written by one guy with 30K followers who has been wrong about a lot of other things he's predicted in the past. It's gained traction because the internet. Nobody knows for sure how the movie will be received or what it will make at the box office. People just killing time until March 25th. We still have a month of speculation to go where some people will say it's going to be great and others will say it's going to flop etc.

So you're criticizing the direction DC is taking without being aware of the direction they're taking:dahell:

What :dahellwhat:

They are rebooting the batman franchise:dahellwhat:

There are two ways to do it :dahellwhat:

A stand alone movie :dahellwhat:

Or the batman vs superman movie:dahellwhat:

And since there is no batman movie before the batman vs superman movie...seems like they have to tell the origin story in the batman vs superman movie:dahellwhat:

Unless they going to already have batman established in the movie and then the origin movie is flashback movie before batman vs superman...but never of the people involved are talented enough to pull that off so...

I'm sure Batman's origin will be a flash back as shown in the trailer breakdown (the slow motion, close up gun firing) and WW origins are in her standalone film after BvS

So they putting all these resources into rebooting batman and they going to do the origin story...probably the most important part of the entire reboot...in a movie that is not completely about batman :francis:

Then they going to have wonder woman in this movie...but then in her stand alone movie years later we will get her origin story :francis:

I didn't read to much into the reports of the studios being a bit :lupe: about this movies reception...but the more i think about it and the more people post stuff like this the more i start to smell the :scust:

An origin story that is flashback for a character as iconic as batman:mjlol:

fukking Ant Man can get his own stand alone movie but you telling me Batman can't get his own stand alone origin story before a batman superman story:mjlol:

No wonder Marvel movies is beating the breaks off of DC movies...

Imagine if in Iron Man they had just dedicated say 22 minutes to telling Captain America's origin story...instead of giving Cap a movie...:mjlol:

Superman movie...done...batman movie...wonder woman movie...batman vs superman with wonder woman movie (doj)...rest of the justice league members stand alone movies...justice league movie...pretty simple...

They rebooted the franchise...they don't have a choice :russ:

They didn't bring Afleck in to continue Nolan's batman universe, they brought him in to create a new batman universe:russ:

They about to have Batman fight Superman and Doomsday...and then years later he going to get his own stand alone movie fighting... Red hood :russ:
