I worked there in High School in the 90s

When an order came in, we had a thick brush like you paint a wall in your house with. There was a bowl of butter and God knows what else

This “butter” would be applied to the bottom of the pan before you through the dough on.

It was great, just can’t eat it now

Loved being a kid, when dumping sugar in the kool aid, putting extra sugar in gatorade, and drinking 50 cent sodas after school wasn't cause for concern. Glad I got out that habit before I became an adult tho. My mom was a dialysis nurse, so I'm assuming she knew that I would be fine doing those things while I was younger.
