I remember begging my parents for the meat lovers pizza for what seemed like years


They always said no but finally gave in and that shyt changed my life. Going to Pizza Hut was an experience. Only shyt on par was going to a buffet like Sizzler

They actually fixed up the Pizza Hut I went to as a kid after the pandemic. It was real run down and still had the 80's look inside, except it was in a shopping center and the front didn't even have windows looking out. Now they revamped it to a more updated version of the classic look with a dining room, beer on tap and TV's showing sports and news.
I went in there a few weeks ago and there were a lot of people actually sitting down and having dinner like the old days

Back in the day, food in general tasted much better.

A family member was telling me about working at pizza hut as a teen back in the 80s. He said most shyt was made fresh and they would make the dough in house.

I assume everything is frozen and shipped pre-made now. Capitalism is a rush to the bottom once a company is big enough to survive on reputation alone. Same with McDonald's I'd imagine. They never have to worry about having no customers because they are a household name and there are people who will go to them out of habit even if quality drops.

Still one of my favorite memories is my pops taking me to Pizza Hut before we went to MJ’s comeback, #45, game against the Nets. Even got to miss school the next day.

Pizza hut imma say about 2000- 2001. They started switching the recipe up and Papa John's was gaining some traction with better quality. By the 2010s mom and pop type pizza spots became a big trend and pizza hut never recovered.
