Remember as a kid some dude tried to feel my mom up at the arcade, so my pops came thru and yoked dude up. Our spot wasn't too grimey but every once in a while nikkas would act out. I never had no problems tho.

A lot of arcade environments were low key drug/gun dealing spots. nikkas getting yoked up by their collar for winning in the game too much. Plus, hitting the arcade game like Tupac in Juice out of frustration :russ:
Son I remember I seen a nikka got put to sleep for beating a drug dealer in street fighter two....first time I seen a nikka get knocked out

on the subject...arcades were not too creepy around here at all and if there were my parents prob wouldnt have taken me there. i dont live in a city though so i couldnt walk to any if i wanted to. there was this one place (the GOAT) around here called Scooters. Huge ass indoor arcade with hundreds of games..mini golf course inside in like a treasure island type theme, food, laser tag on the top floor. :ohlawd: Fifteen times better than Chuck E Cheese although Id beat the XMen and Simpsons arcade game everytime i went to Chuck E Cheese. Scooters though...and Wilt Chamberlains in Florida when on vacation...I used to RUN people on NBA Jam and NBA Hangtime...tried venturing to Mortal Kombat and would always get beat by a teenager easily, give me a fatality then asked if i wanted to play again. Id hit him with the "im not wasting quarters on this..play me in NBA Jam :youngsabo:" a couple took me up on that offer and id smoke them. they'd get heated as fukk, kick the machine and go back to mortal kombat or even that samurai game that was on Sega (Samurai Showdown maybe?).

Wilt's restaurant was next level shyt. Arcade..half court basketball court..TVs next to the tables..this was like 95-99 too..way ahead of its time. Plus the food was top notch.

I had too many options growing up on the East side of Sacramento. There used to be a spot called the Mine Shaft in Rancho Cordova. Not only they had a three story building full of arcade games, a nice miniature golf course and a go cart track but they had this mini man made battle field with these miniature tanks you can drive like golf carts that shot tennis balls, I kid you not. So ahead of its time. The building is still there now despite the place being closed for nearly two decades.

Aladdin's Castle, an arcade in the Arden Fair Mall in Sacto was where I worked my craft. Place got grimey as fukk before they closed it down in the late 90s but I never felt threatened there . Maybe because cats knew me :manny:

Still I was mad as fukk when they shut it down.

you trying to tell me that you got molested and beaten by a group of weed smoking thugs...in an arcade?

Sorry, let me explain this. There were a handful of group homes and high-risk youths in my area. Like 10 year olds trying to bum smokes of people and stuff like that. Just grimey and unsupervised.

This was waaaaay before the Dance Dance Revolution crowd came on the scene.

Damn, I miss arcades. :mjcry:

There's still one spot 2 cities away from me. The last of the extinct. :mjcry:

They have/had this bad ass samurai game there. Don't know what they call these arcade games, but you get to hold a stick similar to a sword. Also got a bad ass sniper game.
I remember I was in Vegas and this spot had a virtual baseball game. shyt was fun. :mjcry:

I used to work at the arcade across the street from my college. It was dark... but IDK about scary. :patrice:
I went in an arcade (not the one I worked at) back in 2011 or 2012 and it was all bright and happy. :what: And all the games were just like... kind of friendly, I guess.
Like, when I worked there back in like 05 we had games like "Gals Panic" and stuff. And shyt you could hurt yourself on like that boxing bag you punch. And now where there should be shooters like Time Crisis and Silent Scope there are just dancing revolution games.
:wow:

But... I had my fun. If this is what kids want now, let em rock. :yeshrug:
