NY arcades were some goon infested locations. You had to have your crew with you and you better not get change for any bill bigger than a 5. You could actually get swung on in real life for beating cats up in Video Games. I almost got in fights over hitting cats with fatalities in Mortal Kombat

I'm from Brooklyn and didn't get the chance to visit arcades in my youth (at least not the shady ones y'all are speaking about) :whoa: but there was a Street Fighter machine in a Chinese joint near the apartment building I used to live in.

Mom's used to send me and my brother there at times to get food. We would play on the machine while we wait for the food if nobody was there. We've seen too many cats get yoked out over that machine :russ: when them high school boys came in looking like :birdman: challenging us we'd fall back and just wait for the food.

Growing up in Pasadena we had the Epic Pacman Arcade.. Shyt had like 1000 Video Machines in that bytch.. Shyt was legendary.. Although dingy as fuk, there wasnt weed smoke or gang fights there :skip:

I use to go to that arcade when I was younger; they closed that shyt down because the asian gangs were trafficking drugs and shyt. Pacman brought me through some tough times as a kid. I dont know if you remember but there was arcade across the street from pcc. I forgot what the name was because it was years ago.

The arcade in times square was like a prison yard. With all the tourist the cops couldnt tell who was cutting school or on vacation so you had kids from every borough in there. You went in there 1-2 deep with money or whipping ass on the sticks you mightve got followed out to the bathroom or train station.

The arcade in the coliseum on jamaica ave was pretty much one big drug deal with between video game machines in the middle

My uncle Dove owned a arcade in swifton commons in Cincinnati I cut my teeth on gaming back than and yeah mostly all that was around were dope boys...

When I became a little hustler myself I used to spend my time at this place called Nicks in Bond Hill and that was when Inwas introduced to Street Fighter 2 which had to be the greatest Arcade movement ever

So yeah arcades I was around was always full of street dudes and hoodrats police wouldn't even come in they'd stand outside
