AOL was fun with the Progz, Booters and Punters though. Everyone had to be on their best behavior in the chatroom when they saw that text scroll alerting you someone had a program loaded up and was ready to do business.

I remember dial up internet very well.

In fact I was the one who worked on a solution for early xbox live users to get around the AOL restriction in the very early beta. Shoutout to the original crew that was on that ugly shytty xbox.com forum from WAY back then. I am assuming @PS4 is the only one on here who might know wtf I am talking about.

After Seganet disappeared I remember spending time at Dricasworld.com
IGN when they FIRST started, was nothing like it is now. Was more like a online magazine. I remember tons of photos, that was there thing and it was awesome at the time. Just thinking about it reminds me of my first password (I'd use the same one back then)Limegreen. I wasn't even as xbot then, it was a weed reference.

Folks haven't lived until they went through local numbers trying to find a good connection to the internet. That noise it made when you trying to go on the web and it hits that SHHHHHHHRARHHHHHHAHSHHHHHHHHHHHH. Waiting on a 10 second wrestling clip to load up just to see blurry garbage.The days it took to download a 5 megabyte game from GamesDomain. Actually having keystroke skills to have conversations in chatrooms. No memes, no gifs, and just pure sentences and paragraphs.

Idk, on average I can say I had more fun with nikkaz on soulseek than I do on here. I used to do this bit where I acted like Coolio was the best rapper to ever do. I'd wait for a real hip-hop convo to spark off, then would slip in "Coolio done changed the game" real talk, that's where I got my swag Then joining Sohh and bullshyttin in the open Mic section turned me into the animal you see today

I remember mIRC & AOL 2.5 days, netzero was free when it first came out.

mIRC was like navigating the matrix. I couldn't get that shyt to work consistently. But, I did good for not knowing wtf. You had to ask people how to do shyt, there was no Google. Google done changed the game...

Breh that was only like 20 or so years ago. We still had dial up when I was in jr high. I still remember as a kid when we didn't have the internet period. When in school you couldn't construct a book report using Wikipedia sources like kids do now. Encyclopedias and doing actual research. Microsoft Encarta changed the game.
