The wiki has info compiled in one location usually with links to back up the story. Im not trying to turn in a paper just like you're not trying to learn anything on this subject. If you believe that the wiki is my soul reference or even main reference point then you're mistaken. If you want another source Google is your friend...Are you really using Wikipedia as a reference?
You can’t even turn in a paper on college campuses using Wikipedia as a reference without the professor giving you an F
People learn English you know, they did communicate over the years. The reason it's claimed to be a slur is because of when white men collected skins as they called it of natives. The term redskin predates that period tho, white ppl deemed it bad, this society is dominated by white people, so fukk the origin, redskin is like the 2nd ugliest word in the language sandwiched between ****** and MuslimThe origins of the name is such a weird topic. Some say it's warpaint or basic vocabulary of self identity with natives not only trying to learn a new language, but introduced to a different group of people. There are some really old quotes with Native America self identifying as redskin. Whether they thought it up with them learning new language or was instilled and adopted by them from settlers remain to be seen. They couldn't just learn English from a library. So, I feel Redskin origin would have to be instilled from the settlers. Racial identifiers could be from both sides as settlers where very pale.
It's like what came first... The egg or chicken with Redskin being a English speaking word with no real consist NA link in their vocabulary. No offense for next line, but with Native American being in a bubble to society advancement with the old world which made them somewhat basic in contrast. Their intellect was simplier and leaned on identifyers and simplicity to play catch up.
Redskin could have an organic origin, but in the end... Native American was subject to mass genocide or integration. There could be a time where Native are extinct in the United States.
