always, always 2 ways to make change happen.

by force/war/fighting
by the wallet

This brotha and thats what you and I been talking about in TLR. If you ain't hitting folks in they pockets you hustling backwards.

We see it with this name change and with Mississippi taking down the flag.

If folks want change...target these companies with not giving them money and they will put pressure on politicians or organizations for real change.

Now lets see how the NFL spins this. They gonna push the new name that the Washington team becomes. Best believe its gonna be some cool colors and logo. And knowing the shady NFL and how they treat relocation teams (which basically this name change is almost relocation and changing of the team). Expect the Washington "No slurs" all of a sudden become a very good and competitive team in the next 2 or 3 years.

I've done the research, even posted the results either here but likely on sohh. What's happening here is what you call a jedi mind trick. If you look up the origin of the term redskin you'll find that a native American tribe that lived near Chicago would always wear red paint. Usually tribes did that when at war but this one particular tribe would wear it at all times and they called themselves "Redskins" not sure if im paraphrasing the S at the end but yes. And I can showcase that but before I do I gotta address why some native Americans are cool and others are not with the name. It's about education, then you gotta see the jedi mind trick that gets applied. This quote in a nutshell will reveal what's going on...

This is a top voice representing native Americans saying he doesn't know where the word originates but white folk say it's bad so fukk my history :picard: I guess he was too busy to do the research. I can direct anyone to sources but I'm sure wikipedia should have some of that info with links. Let me see....

Redskin - Wikipedia

But it doesn't stop with that. When designing the logo they had native Americans create it so they wouldn't do the thing that bothered native Americans the most. They way they are depicted, the caricatures. I fully understand why any race of ppl would be like "nah, we good" especially with that Cleveland Indians logo I grew up with. But that truth doesn't mean Redskins gotta go too. Only if you are surrendering your true history to your oppressor :francis: origin of the logo...

So in conclusion, ignorance on the matter and allowing white people to lead your fight for equality will lead to jedi mind tricks.

Next time we'll delve into the word ****** and how white folks didn't really invent that either. They just pronounced it differently then added "ignorant" to the meaning so they can jedi mind trick and now it's the ugliest word in the language of the people who historically hated black everything. Let's do a quick review of the origin...

Most Americans today will say the ignorant line but that is part of the mind trick

But who cares about facts and truths right?

When I was much younger I thought the N word came from the mispronunciation of Niger but as I grew up I read different types of things that a lot of the motifs they used of stupid slaves and other racist things actually came from the white man not the ones in power but more of the Irish and others we picked up their dialects and ways of speaking so over time that became southern speak which was seen as stupid and certain characteristics came from that too. You can find all sorts of things like that. History is a story told by the living and there are always parts left out and over time depending how the current climate good things that were either lost or unproven become legend or hearsay. I use Alexander Hamilton this man was a mullato who fled his country because people his skin tone and darker were revolting then he married into a very wealthy slave owning family. This same man had a child with a black woman (some sources say she was a slave some sources say she was a free black) some sources even say the kid wasn’t his but had his name. Then this same man later wanted to end Slavery but waited according to some sources. But what’s known for a fact is he was talking shyt about Burr and how they came to duel. But once again there’s different sources that argue different things. Add in things between the people involved themselves that we won’t ever know how could someone feel confident with that ?
