lowkey treach got by mostly on flow and those monster fukking hooks. he was never really saying all that much lyrically. especially after the second album. :hubie:

I’ve long been saying E is the most underrated producer ever. All those EPMD albums were fire and had classic beats. All that work he did with the Hit/Def Squad. He gets overlooked by a lot of his peers from that era tho

He pioneered sampling P-Funk before the west coast, ushered in the hardcore hip hop of the early 90s, was the lead producer on at least 5-6 classic albums, all the classics he gave other rappers, and he has large solo hits.

Yup. You always here about Primo, Pete Rock, Xtra P and Q Tip. But E was right up there with those dudes. Matter fact his production was relevant longer than some of them off the strength he was able to recreate his sound so many times
