Just my very limited opinion because I didn’t listen to the vid nor have I recently listened much to the names mentioned.

I will say a couple of years ago I heard a new Redman joint and lyrics was trash and I was like time for breh to give it up. But then in this past year I heard some shyt and he sounded better than his prime.

Never been a big 9th fan but again my listening is limited so I don’t know what anyone is saying 9th did recently that was “wack”. His shyt with the Musalini is definitely not wack.

But I’d be lying if I said I liked a Redman song in the last 15 years. Damn near 20 years if we being fully honest.

Red has clearly turned a page in his personal life and it shows in the body of work for the last 15-20 years. His pitch went up,the bars still witty but the edge is gone,the beats don't compliment like they used to(kudos to E Dub). I still listen to whatever he puts out but it doesn't grab you like it used to. His run was amazing but I miss the violent funny ignorance he showed in his earlier work,too much punchline matador,not enough punch in the voice and music. 9th switched samples but didn't switch his approach so even if it's a new sample you kinda know how he's going to paint the picture which makes it kinda one trick pony ish imo.
