You've seen that infographic with Psychonauts, Deathloop, Hi-Fi Rush, and Ghostwire Tokyo's Metacritic scores posted here and on Twitter a million times, despite the fact that both Deathloop and Ghostwire released mere months after the acquisition was announced. Meanwhile, Redfail has been under the Microsoft banner for three solid years now.

I mentioned this over and over for years now, I even mentioned it days ago in this thread
Yeah that was the whole point
MS has said from jump that for the most part they will be hands off with studios they acquire.
They want them to do what they have been but have less pressure when comes to sales, and exploring other games that might not justify the time that can now be put in game pass. Aka grounded and pentiment.
MS had less to do with two of those games because none of their funding or support was involved. With PN2, Hi-fi rush and red fall it was.
Again they have stated that they largely want these companies they purchase to just keep doing what they are doing with them being involved in the day to day, and for the most part that has been working out great.
MS overall problem and i'll say it again is they are playing way to nice, if they didn't really believe in redfall but choose to let them release it anyway. It should have been stated that it was a pet project or even been launched as a preview title instead of being shown off as a premier 1st party title.
It might be the case where they can't be really aggressive in a industry where everyone is connected and you shopping around trying to purchase and gather talent. But they are getting a lot of black eyes on the opposite end because of it.
Overall MS is more than fine, but again the problem is MS and phil talks and explains to much to an sector of the industry and gamers that actually doesn't care about xyz details or plans anymore and just want content for console wars and enegaments.
They in front of the computer and phone like
waiting on the next trailer or high res gif and screen shot of some game. And these "insiders" and journalist just want engagements and interactions. So they'll talk all day about "controversial" topics with random hot takes.

Again, Too nice, I don't think anyone from Nintendo nor Sony would be doing a interview after negative CMA news and negative game news. They eat it, let people think what they want and keep it moving.
