That article literally says that’s not entirely an Xbox thing as PlayStation users showed a similar trend when it became available for free on PS+. It debuted on gamepass so of course the numbers will be skewed

I don't know if that works, though. The article says the percentage of PlayStation players who haven't unlocked the trophy was 13%. That's a lot less than 33%, breh.

Playstation owners (who were interested) bought the game a year prior, how is it the same? Its not as if Xbox owners were buying it outside of gamepass either.

But its beside the point, the point is the general public really just doesn’t pay attention to Arkane games and they will care even less for their spin on L4D

It was out as a $70 game on PS for a whole year before getting added to PS+. Just like the steam numbers show if you have to pay for the game, you’re more likely to follow through with playing it. That number went higher once it became free thru PS+

Deathloop debuted on Xbox on gamepass so it was “free” from the jump for that player base. I’m sure a bunch of people downloaded just because then dropped it, like when F2P games peak early then taper off

Even still Redfall is in entirely different situation being a co-op game and debuting as an Xbox exclusive on gamepass so it’s not exactly an apples to apples comparison in the first place

I don't think it's that big of an issue because most people are online anyways, but it would suck if you have spotty internet. However, you have to question what happens 5+ years from now if they were to close servers. I think for game preservation this is a bad move because I don't think it's right to lose access to a single player game if you've paid for it.
